What do you mean with "Bluetooth calibration"?

    Hello,

You can stay on this firmware version, but the latest is the 2.86
Depending on the update to be made, an echo problem may occur on the telephone link.
If this is the case, you must go to a concession to fix the malfunction.

Look at first post, there is a table for help you.

    The tables really help.

    But to be sure:
    Having a 2013 C4 I must use the table "Projet Can 2010".
    Since I have RNEG2.75.C.5 I assume it's 2.75 version.
Being green ("Oui") for all the above versions means I'll have no problems and I will not need to go to a concession.
    Am I right?

    Thank you, you're awesome!

I am an irregular visitor of the forums for quite some time, and I appreciate very much all valuable info that is posted! Thanks to all experts!

I noticed that due a server crash messages from the last couple of months have been lost. End of last year I read in this thread some very valuable info regarding backing up your files before applying a firmware update. I copied this info locally to a text document for personal use. Since I noticed that post is now lacking (due to the server crash), I am copying it back because I believe it may be useful for others as well. All credits should go to the original poster , unfortunately I forgot who this was... (forgot to copy his name...).

There were problematic 2 situations during the upgrade of the firmware that didn't get detailed enough explanation on how to "repair" your unit without having to pay a visit to service (and pay for it).

    1. upgrade hangs with message "upgrade preparation"
    - restart (either via soft reset or by unplugging battery) doesn't solve the problem, as the procedure arrives at the same point during the upgrade.
    Solution:
There is a problem with the SD card within the unit. One should buy a new SD card and replace it. You really need to take a part entire unit, as the card located at an unreachable position without doing so. [see for example this link: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
You do not need to format it or copy anything to it; just plug it in. Put the unit back together, plug in the USB key and then the upgrade process recognizes that there is a new card and partitions it accordingly. Upgrade finishes with no problem.

    2. after the upgrade the only available language is Czech and you cannot change it, as the menu item is not available.
This issue happened to me, I presume, because the config file (user_config.dat) of the RT6 unit (car) was missing, as I needed to change the SD card (see problem no. 1). I was fortunate enough to have the old SD card readable where there was original config file available.
Using mira script programs and utilities (available at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]) I've copied the new config file from the unit, and compared it with the old one. I've applied settings form the old file to the new one and then uploaded the file back to the RT6 unit.
All the settings (thus, available sensors from the car) were restored and I was able to change the language.

As far as I can understand from the other posts on the forum, the second problem may occur even if one doesn't change SD drive.
So, in order to prevent data/config loss, I would always follow this procedure when doing firmware upgrade:
    - what we need:
    * 3 USB drives formated with FAT32
    * mira script utilities - RT6_MiraScripts - to download upload config file
    * mira script DatExplorer - to read old config and modify new config - if something corrupts user_config.dat file during the FW upgrade

    - what to do:
    * download and extract RT6_MiraScripts to 1st USB key. In the CMD folder, leave only RT6_USERCOM.CMD file. Before performing upgrade, insert this USB key to save config. This script checks if on the root folder of the USB drive exists user_config.dat file; if it doesn't exist, it copies it from the RT6 unit. That way, we've made a backup of it.

    * insert 2nd USB key with RT6 upgrade. If all goes well after the reboot... well... open a beer.. else, go on...

    * let's presume that the upgrade was done correctly, but your config got fu...d up. You should take the 3rd USB key and do the same thing as you did with the 1st key. Doing that, you'll get your "new" config file. I don't recommend copying the old config file as there may be some new settings with the new firmware.
Then, one should extract mira script DatExplorer to PC and open 2 instances of it. In the first, load the old config, alas, in the second, the new config. You should then manually confront config items, one by one, and change the new one accordingly to the old one.
After file is saved back on the 3rd USB stick, you should take it back to your car, start the car, wait for the RT6 to boot up and plug in the 3rd stick. The script recognizes that there already exists file on the USB stick and copies it back TO the RT6. When copy finished, long press eject key to restart the unit. Old config should be now active and previous configuration restored.

    Hello,

Format your default FAT32 USB flash stick with a capacity to 32GB max.
You can also try another one because all the USB sticks do not work on the RT6 ?
You can make the update by the Forum CD or the original of the dealership.

    Hello,

i am trying to understand how to update the firmware myself.
    I have a citroen c4 2011 Hdi 2.0 with eMyWay, which I'm now sure is RT6.

    Currently it says:
    unit reference: 9667019180
    CD number: 6183
    SW Version unit: RNEG2.0.K.R3

Can I go from RNEG2.0.K.R3 Straight to installing 2.86??
What does it mean 'to go to concession' - is this french translation for dealer?

but i thought the whole point is we don't have to go to dealer! lol Here in UK they want Ł80 to do this! i don't want to pay such silly money.

also - how do i install it - I know its USB or CD - but i just turn radio on, plug in, and it should just work? Or do i need to have engine running?
