    Default New navigation

    Hey,
I'm new here, and I don't know nothing about GPS.
I recently bought Prestigio GeoVision 5066 Mireo, and I want to change maps. I do not know how to do this. I have very small number of POIs and I want new map, I tried to update maps but still small number of POIs. So my question is can I download iGo or another maps and install it and how?
    Thanks

Prestigio are very fine devices. Last week, two pieces were in my hands ...
Thus, with this model, two scenarios are possible. In both cases you need
HONDA Civic Reborn [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
The rest of the required content (maps, global_dfg, languages ...) is found in the appropriate threads in the iGO section

    - First, switch the device in settings in the MASS MODE. Connect it to computer. If OK, in this way you get access to internal memory, then the rest is very easy. You have direct access.
BEKAP! Transfer complete content from internal memory to your computer
Then delete the contents of the MIREO folder (navigator, mobile navigator or whatever it's name is), instead of switching the contents of iGO, rename the main exe as it is called the original, and that's it.
If you do not see the content of internal memory in this way, then the other one remains:

    - Second, you must put the device to Active Sync mode. With this method there can be a lot of problems.
On Win XP you need proper drivers, (MicroSoft Active Sync 4.5), Total Commander, his Plugin for WiNCE system (from his site), etc etc, google for procedure. It works OK, but it is extreme slow.
Also, on Win7 and newer, it is very possible that, despite you have active Mobile Center, again you can not see and you can not access the content of device.
Therefore a very simple solution remains:
on a micro SD card, put a complete, fully prepared iGO folder, with downloaded all desired maps, etc...
Also, you need CeCMD exe file (Total Commander for WinCE). There is somewhere on iGO forum, I can not find it right now.
Connect device to power source (this need time and a lot of patience). Start device, got to it's menu, put mSD card in it.
Then, in device settings, find option Navigation Path, choose CeCMD as navigation exe
Save, go back to main menu, tap on "navigation". Voila! You'll start CeCMD
Then, for example, in left panel find Internal memory (or whatever its name is), find in it Mireo folder, copy it on mSD (backup! ), wait...
Delete content of Mireo folder (or what name it is), copy all content of iGO folder, rename main exe...
After all finished, go again to Navigation Path, now find/choose iGO exe, and that it's.
    Regards

    I assumed that
Usually, for devices that come without software, it is possible to do the first variant.
For devices with factory preinstalled Navitel, and obviously Mireo, you must apply second variant.
Just a little patience, follow the instructions, and it will be okay.

This is not thread about choice of new devices and software
He got new one and he had a problem with it. It is WinCE based, not android.

Actually, the question was posted in the wrong section, but ... never mind.
