    Hi,
I have a Samsung evoplus 32gb (MB-MC32G) from ali express, I tried on unbuntu 18usblive and on a pc with unbuntu 16, all the steps function untill I drop and run : "change_CID_64" in the terminal after had put "/dev/mmcbl0", it shows :

    '/media/ubuntu/DATA/Downloads/OPEL 2017 extract/change_CID_64'
    Usage: ./evoplus_cid <device> <cid> [serial]
device - sd card block device e.g. /dev/block/mmcblk1
cid - new cid, must be in hex (without 0x prefix)
it can be 32 chars with checksum or 30 chars without, it will
be updated with new serial number if supplied, the checksum is
(re)calculated if not supplied or new serial applied
serial - optional, can be hex (0x prefixed) or decimal
and will be applied to the supplied cid before writing

    Warning: use at own risk!

    Then I put this command as described : sudo ./change_CID_64 /dev/mmcblk0 5d53424e32424d310129c7f4bd010acf

and it shows "command not found"

    Can you help me ?

roooooh my sd is from 2019... but I'm gonna try now

    Hi,
the usblive was done with rufus first time as described in the the tuto of Apollo89 and after saw your post, I remade the usb live with netbootin with the iso ubuntu 18LS 64 and stuck too after put : sudo ./change_CID_64 /dev/mmcblk0 5d53424e32424d310129c7f4bd010acf
It shows again : "command not found"

I updated my computer with ubuntu 16 to 18 and when I put the first command in terminal : ls -l /sys/block | grep mmc

    nothing appear..

    What can I do now?

with the usb live, it shows that my sd is mmcblk0, so it seems good..

but as I saw on post my sd card is a newone from 2019, is it for that ?
I spent hours for doing that without succes, I really need my gps for this sunday where I'm going to vacation with my family..

30min later I tried again the tuto [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] with my usb live

all process succes untill 6:30 min where he says :

    Enter command : ./evoplus_cid
    Paster your sd adress
    Copy / past new cid

I don't know how to generate or where he founds this new cid, but I note and copy the same new one of him, so :
    ./evoplus_cid /dev/mmcblk0 035344534430324780122fa04d00bac1

and it shows : Unlock command failed.

What can I put as new cid ?

AFTER spent much time, it seems it is becaue I have a new one sd from 2019....

    hi everyone,

do somebody can give a list of the lastet sd card functionnal for changing cid ?

    is this one good ?

I have not heard that other cards, in addition to Samsung evo, worked when changing the CID. Well, unless it's a card from alibaba.com I can hear first Transcend cards. Maybe a colleague who did it (changed CID) will share the way ...

    1st - Are you using Linux 64bits? Or 32bits?
    Change_cid_64 is for 64bits Linux
    Change_cid_32 is for 32bits Linux

Note: 64bits Linux can run 32bits “programs”, as long you have the correct dependencies installed... the other way around (32 running 64) it’s not possible...

2nd- that seems a problem with access...
    You should try
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
This will change the execution rights

3rd- if you wish to try the 32bit on 64bit use this command
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
This will install 32bit architecture on the 64bit Linux
