Hi,
I hope this is not to a beginner question, ( I have searched). I am looking to update a VW Up Garmin device to the latest firmware. I understand this is 7.16.9. There does not seem to be anything on here for the Garmin devices. I understand the references to the MN7 MN8 are to the Navigon devices build/ f/w versions.
I assume the map files work across the Garmin devices too. I think I understand how to update, as the guide is good.
Thanks
For some devices, the software update is accompanied by a ROM update, install and update whatever is available with [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...].
In [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], from this Thread, you have the Q2 2020 map pack for Garmin PID.
In this [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], from this Thread, you have an example of how to update the maps.
Hello all,
I have a navigon 70 connected to seat ibiza.
I made a backup using navigon fresh app and tried to change some maps but it didn't work so i tried to install the backedup files... it deleted everything from navigon drive (3.5gb) only thing that is left is the autorunce.exe and autorunce.mscr.
The navigation i didn't really care about but the functions that ih had (sensors, oil temp, etc..) are now all gone...
Does anyone have a backup of the files? Or would installing the update work? I appreciate any help!
If you made a backup, it is simple to resolve.
Navigon Fresh, performed the backup on your PC, you must find the folder where you can find the backup made by navigon fresh.
When you find the backup folder, copy the content to your Navigon 70 without NavigonFresh.
Hey
I have a question
I have been trying for a while now to put new folders on my navigon 70/71 premium live
and have also tried these three solutions but it keeps crashing
maybe I'm doing something wrong, I don't know anymore
hi.
well i tried this explanation.
1. Back-up your Navigon device (Copy all files to your computer)
2. Format your Navigon device (Fat32)
3. Copy new upgrade software to your Navigon internal memory
4. Copy new poi files to your Navigon internal memory
5. Copy new map/nfs files to your Navigon internal memory (Not enougt space! Than delete no need countrys)
6. Restart Navigon device
but it doesn't work.
with my navigon 70/71 premium live.
And what software did you try to install?
Those devices are not in the list and not working for them. Mentioned in posts #16 & #20
Hi Boki,greetings from Croatia :).I have old NAVIGON 14XXX device without internal software.Is there any backup,upgrade or possibility for iGO install on it or,better option,from SD card!Thank you in advance!
Spoiler: Backup Navigon 1400 / 1410
I am unsure of which is the correct procedure to follow with my Navigon unit, it is labelled as GARMIN on the front, doing some digging around within the files on the unit I have the following from the version.xml file
<software>
<version>7.16.9</version>
<build>314</build>
<brand>NAVIGON_EU</brand>
<platform>SKODA_PID_V2</platform>
<copyright>Garmin Würzburg GmbH, Copyright (c) 2014</copyright>
<productprefix>N7</productprefix>
<style>SKODA</style>
<productid>N7NFRC8CNZEXS5K</productid>
<id>TMBZZZAAZFD636961</id>
<romimage>
<version>2.33</version>
</romimage>
<bluetooth>
<core>
<version>1.1.102.105</version>
</core>
<firmware>
<version>H14423-V2R43</version>
</firmware>
</bluetooth>
<gts>36|4|12|7|7|115|5|218</gts>
<expirationdate>20171020133251Z</expirationdate>
</software>
It appears to have a fairly small internal memory at just under 4 Gig and I have done a back up of all files from the unit to my computer, this has been done with a back-up utility (Linux) and a straight copy of all files including hidden to my hard disk.
It is fitted into a 2015 Skoda Citigo.
Looking at the list of software on the first post I do not see the version or build numbers so I thought I had better check check before I ventured further and trash the unit.
Cheers
Adrian
