I cannot imagine that anyone can actually use Tomtom on wince 6.0 as the primary and only navigation for regular use. I know this tutorial but I personally think that this is only demonstration that Tomtom can actually run on wince 6.0.

Absolutely correct Janch
I know that TT is linux based, I know that it is possible to install very old TT as indicated in my post, but also, as the topic starter nice concluded:
and what is the point of that?Quote:

So I did not continue with further discussion, because it is pointless.
Use TT device or use software which has fresh content.
Other suggestions do not make sense, and all the effort is waste of time.
@Boki_srb Interesting discussion about TMC, thanks, I've the same problems!!! My be the serie 6900 give problems? We will see!
@cam1981 Thanks. I'll try for sure!
With this software tomtom (Navigator wce) you can always have maps updated just like in the original TomTom GPS.Have to look for another forum where the latest version of maps is available for users, unfortunately in this forum are not ..Quote:

Tell me which map you want to use, the name of SD or internal memory of your device, I send to you by MP all the content ready to install and working without any problem ..
Including, the brand of GPS Mio is one of the brands that less problems gives at the time of installing the TT wce
Greetings friend, do not be discouraged.
Here's an old TT program for WinCE. Hope it helps.

EDIT: Igo is best choice.
Hi to all, and thanks for giving me TT software. I was not able to try it, because I think is for WinCE5, and I've WinCE6. I receive error of incompatible system. What a pity!
I think you're correct regarding 5 and 6. Actually, TT for WinCE is only a basic nav that gets from point A to point B with no adds. Igo is your best bet.
Of course I like iGO (possibly with TA maps). I have a minishell with 4 buttons: Igo, Tomtom (some time ago my preferred), Navigon and Sygic, and so I liked to have all.
By the way, my model does not support TMC neither in iGO, Navigon and Sygic! The softwares run all well, but no traffic information, what a pity. By the way, thanks for the software.

[Edit]: Ah, at the last, I was able to start TomTom also on wince6. So, just to inform interested user, I used the 7910 version of TomTom. It runs, but I have no maps! I'm sure I'll found some map, but I need a tutorial about to install and activate maps. I'll try!
