Just download this: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I suppose that you have already unlocked your Mio. If not, here:
Delete everything from your internal disk on the C device. Do the download of the unlock and just copy all the files/folders in the download [just as they are] to the internal disk. Copy the program to your SD card. Add contents [maps and such].

To use the unlock, press the Miomap button when the device starts and it will switch to the unlock.

I've been told that this unlock works with MOOV and Spirits. BUT I've never tried it [I have a MIO C320] so proceed at your own risk. Please post your results.

I would like to leave the MioMap 3 that's currently installed alone and install iGO on external SD card. Is this possible? I mean to have access to both MioMap and iGO via button?
Also, I also would like to get it working on C310, the same procedure applied to that model as well?

Question: Why would you want to use MioMap? Its maps [last update] are from 2007 [I think it was]. Can you say old? Also, the unlock changed the MioMap folder so I don't think there's a way to get to both navs by pressing a button. At least I never attempted it. You might be able to do it through Windows Explorer.

C310: You need to make modification in the sys.txt since the resolution is 320_240. So change anything referring to 480_272. Also, it uses OS 3.2 which I'm not sure lets it be seen by the computer after deleting all the files. It may. 3.3 gives that ability. So you must do so at your own risk here. Using the Mio Transfer Hack should help if you need it. Do a Google search for it. Look at Total Commander; it might just be better. Also again, it uses WinCE 4.2. So you must replace these files in the root to get TTS [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Plus it's slow because it uses USB 1.1. Hope this all helps.

Please post your results with the 310 per the post above.

Yes, MioMap is old (I think it's 2010 on mine). Keeping it around is nice just in case I want to use it (or sell the unit). People like to see the original on things they buy and if there is option to use something better (like iGO or Garmin Mobile XT) then it's a plus.
What do you know about Mio Pocket Lite? Looks likes trim down version of Mio Pocket, which still will modified registry and tons of other files? I would preferred no registry modification if possible. Even with one launch button (that can be changed to launch MioMap/iGO/Garmin Mobile XT) is fine with me.
When I plugged C310 into Win7, it complains about no driver; where can I download its USB driver for Win7?

Did you download my unlock in post #2? It doesn't make ANY registry changes - it's completely safe. MioPocket Lite, like its parent, does make registry changes albeit with not all the bloatness. As for the 310, I don't have USB drivers. That's why I told you to use the Mio Transfer Hack [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] or Total Commander [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I've installed latest version of Total Commander but I don't see anything special about connecting to C310. I still can't access the location of where MioMap is installed (currently I'm not using external SD card)

Concerning the Mio Transfer hack, instruction said:

How to install the Mio Transfer Hack:
    1. Install from DVD the original Mio Transfer
    2. Download the TransferHack
    3. Unzip the file to the install directory where the mio transfer is located.

I do not have original Mio Transfer DVD from step 1. Where can I get it?

I'm pretty sure if you download the link that I gave you above for the Transfer Hack it should work with your device - I hope. My understanding is it doesn't give the user the ability to delete things as folders but only as individual files. I know that's a pain in the a$$. But what can I say. As for Total Commander, I thought it gives the user complete access to the device and its files.

I checked my disk for my C320 and I can't find ANY Mio Transfer anything on it at all. However, the link I gave you above is the Hack.

I suppose there is another possibilty but it involves your taking a risk. You could always delete the entire internal and copy/paste my unlock. BTW, do you see anything in "My Computer" when you connect the USB cable from the device to your computer?

Here's my C320 disk as supplied by Mio. Maybe you can get something you need. Please post your results and what you did.

EDIT: Just had another thought. Does "Device Manager" [Portable devices] or "Windows Device Mobile Center" on your computer show anything? I wonder if making it activesync will do anything. The C310 is a tough device.

I'm on Win7 and I don't have ActiveSync (at least I don't see anything indicating that's it running) When I originally plugged in the C310 (I haven't tried it on C320 yet), I get prompted regarding USB driver (which I'm desperately looking for.) Currently when I plug it in I get no prompt nor any changes under "My Computer" I think Win7 is not re-asking me and assumed I don't have driver.

Regarding Mio Transfer, I need the original Mio Transfer proggy that was on CD/DVD. The URL only contained a patch to the original. I saw youtube vid of someone easily doing Mio Pocket on it via external SD card. It's my last resort because I don't want any registry/system files changes.

I do not have access to any SD card at the moment to try to see if it's accessible. Probably try to find one next week to try, if I couldn't get access to internal memory of C310. Another possible try is to find one of my old WinXP machine and see if it works. ActiveSync can be a hassle to work with. Thanks for your tips and help, I read a lot of your posts on other sites. Lots of good stuffs but most of links are gone.

I just bought a C320 and still trying to test MioMap out. I found that it has problem correctly snap to road when trying to acquired sats while car is moving. I had similar symptom on one of the iGO version on an android phone a while back. Weird, probably software bug. The C310 is not mine but it needs to be updated with latest maps, so I'm hoping to get latest/best iGO proggy on it. Since it's not mine, I would preferred to leave the original MioMap proggy alone and have iGO installed and used instead (until there is a need to revert back to MioMap)

Update: I find usb driver and mio transfer installation for C250 at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Before using the driver, I get "Other devices" with a problem under Device Manager. Then I installed usb driver and now I get an new entry of Mobile devices->Mio DigiWalker USB Sync (with no problem) But I don't see a way of accessing it; even after installing Mio Transfer (with the Hacked exe) There is no option other than MP3, Mio Online, and About. No way to access the internal disk of the C310.
I'll continue to look for driver for C3x0 and see if it makes any difference.

I'm pretty sure that active sync was replaced by Windows Mobile Device Center in later Windows computers but I can't seem to get it to work with my C320. Although it doesn't really matter since my C320 is 3.3 and that lets it be seen by the computer using USB. I sent you my C320 disk above [post #9] and it does have USB drivers but I don't know if you can just put them on your 310 and make it work. Worth a try I guess.

EDIT: Just had another thought. If your device does use a SD card for more storage, do you have a Card Reader that you could use with the card? If so, I have some MIO unlocks that work from a SD card.

As you've seen, I don't like to give up!
