Great assistance by Manoj, all problem solved & working perfectly fine on my device. Thanks again
@manojmat
Thanks for the software and the easy to follow guide in the OP
I have a chinese Win CE 6.0 GPS and copied the MMIBE folder on the SDMMC card of it per your OP and set the navigation path to the MMI exe file
The software does open up and I am able to access it - 2d maps work, 3d does not, voice works, resolution is WVGA etc all ok
But the biggest problem is that the GPS does not catch GPS signal. Earlier this device had an older version of iGo which used to catch signal, later I installed an updated iGo which did not get the signal, and MMI also does not
I had read earlier that the port of the GPS needs to be changed in .ini file. I am not sure what needs to be changed and where. Please could you guide. I have used exactly the same files as downloaded from your OP except in ordinale.ini I corrected the .cpf filename to india_mi_201211 instead of india_mi_201205 as was given in your ordinale file, I have not changed anything else
For reference this is the ordinale.ini file
Please if you could guide how to get the device to latch on to GPS signals, thanksQuote:

The path can be ignored when the map is at the root of the folder. If you followed the instructions, the path still does not point to the actual map file as it is not in folder maps. Anyway, it's irrelevant.
The gps is supposed to be autodetected and then it populates the ordinale.ini with something like this under the gps header
[GPS]
Found=com1:,57600,8N1,none
It really doesn't require user input. Since for some reason autodetect is not working for you, identify port and baud rate manually and put it in the ini file in the above format and see if it works. For eg if port is 3 and rate is 9600 put in
[GPS]
Found=com3:,9600,8N1,none
You could use some utility like thisorCode:http://sid.datatower.net/igo/MobileNavigator/GPSScan_Debug.exe
Make sure you are in the open with unimpeded view of the sky when you test gps on the device (not for port and rate detection but for location fix).Code:http://files.hii-tech.com/PPG/ppg85/WinCE%20Device%20Information%20V2.rar
Still no update on 8.1. Come on guys help us out.

Dear Manojmat,
Thank you for uploading these maps.
As per your first post I followed the instructions:
• Downloaded the 3 zip file for Maps in one folder i.e.
Zippyshare.com - india_mi_201211.zip.001
Zippyshare.com - india_mi_201211.zip.002
Zippyshare.com - india_mi_201211.zip.003
• Used 7zip and extracted above 3 files to generate these four files
india_mi_201211.zip (1)
india_mi_201211.zip (1).001
india_mi_201211.zip.002
india_mi_201211.zip.003
• Downloaded MMv8full.zip - and extracted to obtain LIC files (2 folders i.e. Decrypted and Encrypted)
• Downloaded and extracted MMIBE.zip file
• Copied Encrypted LIC files to MMIBE extracted folder &
• Copied the above 4 MAP files into the MMIBE folder and copied that folder to my micro-card.
• Now when I inserted the card in my Wince 6.0 in dash car stereo system, it identified and read the actual path for the MapmyIndia_Navigator.exe file
• After this step when I ran the setup file a message “loading maps” is displayed and then nothing happens…………….could you please advise what is wrong with the steps I have followed?
Really appreciate your help.
Cheers
Andy
Nope, after correct extraction you should end up with map files ending in extension cpf, you have not extracted files correctlyQuote:

india_mi_201211.zip (1).001

Dear Manojmat,
thank you for your prompt response.
when I extract the first map file using 7 zip, a new zipfile "india_mi_201211" is created.
and when is unzip this zip file it shows me a CPF file of around 572MB, but another message " unexpected end of archive" is also displayed . another message displayed every time is " Unknown format or damaged file"
even though i can see the CPF file but i can't copy or save it outside the zip file manager.
I know I may be asking for a lot but please suggest what could be the issue?
Could i Possibly request you to share the CPF file with me through "DropBox" ? would be a great help.
Many thanks!!!
Andy

The problem is in your file names. All 3 files of the 001, 002 and 003 type should be in the same folder with correct names which indicate they are linked and you should use 7 zip to extract from the 001 file which will extract a single file from all these 3 parts together. Just right click on the 001 file in windows explorer and use the 7zip sub menu to extract the cpf file
india_mi_201211.zip (1).001 is wrong format, it should be india_mi_201211.zip.001
