Default Becker Map Pilot V17 on a 9077 with SD card

    Hi Guys,

This morning I tried to install the `Becker MAP PILOT Europe Map Package 2018/2019 V17.0 [Q4/2017] Danger Spots September 2017` from @gavla79 (thanks!!), but I don't get it working. I bought a SD card this morning, put it in the device and tried so many different things! But I just don't get it working. I have some questions:

    1. Do I need to DELETE some files that are now current on the BMP device? I now have the 2016 maps.
    2. Regarding the above question: do I put ALL the new maps and files on the SD card?

    Please help me!

    Thanks!

For the 4GB models (9077) you need a sd card , copy the folders APD, MapRegionsPSF50 and Navi to the SD and all the rest to the Becker Map Pilot)

Check if the write protection for the files "device.xml" and "device.xmlt" exists.

    Well, I tried again:

    1. deleted all the files on the Becker device.
    2. Put the maps: APD, MapRegionsPSF50 and Navi, on the SD card.
    3. Put all the other maps and items on the internal memory of the Becker device.
    4. Put the files "device.xml" and "device.xmlt" on read only.

Plug it in the car and it still is not working. I keeps showing the start up screen. What am I missing/doing wrong here?

Did you read all the replies contained within the map thread ? sure there will be something written from someone who possibly had same problem as yourself within that may help ? was fortunate enough that my unit worked first time time with the fresh maps installed. what device model is it on the becker unit ? should be printed on it. good luck !

I have got it working. I had the wrong download. I now used the (15 part) download from Boxer2 (member) and got it working! Did all the above steps and everything works like a charm.

Hello, I have a similar problem on my M054 Becker Map Pilot. I think I've made an mistake on step when I had to delete everything because I made a partition format through Windows. Iíve transferred all the files on to device and it was like 5.6 GB / 7.8GB full. When Iíve unplugged the device and plug it in the car it was stuck on Harman logo. When I brought it back to the PC Ė it was not recognizable anymore from Windows. I only manage to see all the partitions thought Android phone but partition with maps is always on 1.11GB / 7.8GB. When I transfer all the files it says 5.6GB but when I unplug it and plug it back it reverts itself on 1.11GB. Is there any method I could fix this? Thanks in advance!
