DNX5180 map update
Bought the head unit new in mid 2019. It came with the Garmin map on SD card but it's a 2018 map
I can't see any info on here for this head unit and looks like it has the new Garmin software that blocks unlocked maps being used
Anyone have any info on this please?

@Kevaclone,
Did you check with the store you bought the unit from as to why it has 2018 maps???
There has to be a warranty on it and at lease one update on the maps.
Did you check the user manual after you bought it????
You are not going to get any Garmin maps here.

I am not after maps. Was just after info if it was possible to add maps to the unit or the SD card
Auto store I got the head unit from is useless
User manual just tells me to update through Garmin Express
Garmin Express has no updated maps
Head unit has the latest firmware

You need to log into Garmin and have an account.
If not make one.
