I think that is the same situation as with DNX4280BT, here is how-to :
There is no possibility of getting from outside to the Garmin file system.
    1. Unscrew the screw and remove the upper cover.
    2. Unscrew the 4 screws holding the CD mechanism.
    3. Remove the front panel (hooks on the sides and bottom, 2 screws on the right side).
    4. Unscrew the 2 screws fastening the CD mechanism (from the front) and remove.
    5. Unscrew the 2 screws fixing the aluminum plate - remove.
Now we have access to the microSD card in the reader.
We use HDD RAW Copy to copy the original card.
*We use MiniTool Partition wizard - we modify the second part (not visible by PC) - set as PRIMARY, we approve operations.
*Now we have access to the "Garmin" catalog - delete gmapsupp.img and gmapsupp.unl, and in this place copy the new unlocked map named gmapsupp.img.
*You can also (if the device has a 4GB card and can not fit the map) copy the contents of the originally visible partition on the PC, then the same with the exposed (through PRIMARY) partitions - and throw everything into a clean microSD card (FAT32). We dump gmapsupp.img and gmapsupp.unl, and in this place we copy the new unlocked map
