does it matter if my garmindevice.xml is corrupt? does it play a role if its booting or not ?
Garmindevice.xml is created every time the device is cold booted.
Data changes depending on which files are installed in the device and a lot of the data also comes from region 41.(and possibly other regions)
A corrupt garmindevice.xml usually means that there is corruption elsewhere in the device's complex memory structure.
unfortunadly my is not created every time . my garmindevice.xml only has 2 lines in it .. is it possible you can send me one fixed ?
Kenwood have different garmindevice.xml like others unit.
If you read with care what @dasilvarsa wrote to you then you will find out that if you add different xml in your device nothing will change, becouse on every boot new xml is created, but if xml is not auto created then something is very wrong with your device and nuvi can't read/write garmindevice.xml
does anybody know for sure how to enter in pre boot mode?

Tested by me and it works on Kenwood DNX9260BT with navigation module W02-5378-45.
To enter pre-boot mode, follow photos.

Attention!!!!
These wires must be very thin and very flexible.
Even less than what I used here:Spoiler: images
Please be very carefull with solder these wires.
Soldering contacts are very small and fragile.
Do not use a high temperature solders.
You will need a skill for electronics.
If you do not have this, you will destroy the module, irremediably.

If you happened so, you still have a chance, one last chance.
Go outside only one wire, on that you put it to ground in outside, (chassis housing or - 12V), to enter pre-boot mode.

And to me, happened same thing.
The representative Kenwood asked me 650 euros for new Navigation Module or 250 to repair my Navigation Module.
Attention !!!
Do not delete the files img_rsrc.gir and GarminDevice.xml from the memory of Garmin.
(You can delete all the rest)
Do not format the memory of Garmin.
If you accidentally formatted memory, before disconnecting from the PC recopied file img_rsrc.gir.
Download img_rsrc.gir :
Attention !!!
This img_rsrc.giris Only for DNX9260BT and DNX7260BT.
Do not use to other devices.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
And put in:

If you have deleted the file img_rsrc.gir or format the memory of Garmin.
After restart Kenwood DNX9260BT, the app Garmin will not start and you can not access the internal memory.

Garmin will be recognized by PC just so in Device Manager:

To make Garmin functional we have to use GarminCure3 for dnx7x60_9x60_380 without pk_files66_zip with Updater_exe.
Download GarminCure3 for dnx7x60_9x60_380 without pk_files66_zip with Updater_exe.rar:

Disconnect from PC and we need to reset Kenwood DNX9260BT.

So we saved between 250 and 650 euros and I'm very happy.
Thanks to everyone who gave me the information, applications and ...... more.
P.S. do not use Garmin Cyclops, leading to reset Garmin application.
