Hi, trying to find how to install the speedcams(*.txt)

As far as i understand i need to remove (*.spc) files "from content\speedcam" and paste in the same Dir the (*.txt)

I've installed my custom Western Europe map IGO TomTom Europe2019.12(Q4) onto my patched R-LINK2 system:

    Question:

1- Do i need to remove all *.spc files from all countries if the only country i want to change to (*.txt) is Portugal?

2- What is the file structure in the "speedcam" folder for *.txt files? (filenames...)

3- Can coexist in the same "content\speedcam" the files *.spc and *.txt if they are from different countries?

    Thank you.

It is not necessary to remove the .spc files but you will probably have "double" reports.

1- Do i need to remove all *.spc files from all countries if the only country i want to change to (*.txt) is Portugal?
You can keep .spc files from all over the world, but if you stay only in Portugal they are "useless".

2- What is the file structure in the "speedcam" folder for *.txt files? (filenames...)
The names of the .txt files have no importance, the software only considers what is inside; X, Y, TYPE, SPEED, DIRTYPE, DIRECTION.

3- Can coexist in the same "content\speedcam" the files *.spc and *.txt if they are from different countries?
They can coexist even if they are from the same country. However for Spain and Portugal it is possible to find more complete .txt files than those of SCDB.

@Bsoft, In order for your system to "see" the new speedcams it is necessary also to delete files speedcam.spdb and SpeedcamUpdates.spud. Your system will recreate them from the contents of you new .txt files

Moderator please delete this if we are straying too far off topic

Sorry but the SpeedcamUpdates.spud file must always be kept.
It is not recommended to delete this file.

    ...
SpeedcamUpdates.spud has nothing to do with the installation of the speedcams (txt).

    EDIT

    Important:

To be sure that the installation was successful, check if the size of resulting speedcam.spdb file is equal or greater than the sum of the txt files sizes. If not some txt is wrong

    Default Speedcams procedures i did

First of all thanks to all who replied to my questions, you have been really helpfull.

First, i did throw all my speedcam files(*.txt ) into SKU Creator(fantastic tool).

    Spoiler: speedcam files
    Directory of C:\...\content\speedcam

    04/07/2019 01:16 342 PT_MOVEL 30.txt
    04/07/2019 01:16 1*238 PT_MOVEL 40.txt
    04/07/2019 01:16 35*874 PT_MOVEL 50.txt
    04/07/2019 01:16 1*742 PT_MOVEL 60.txt
    04/07/2019 01:16 3*842 PT_MOVEL 70.txt
    04/07/2019 01:16 2*302 PT_MOVEL 80.txt
    04/07/2019 01:16 8*378 PT_MOVEL 90.txt
    04/07/2019 01:16 3*340 PT_MOVEL 100.txt
    04/07/2019 01:16 7*197 PT_MOVEL 120.txt

After install it on my Megane IV i could see the new mobile speedcam (GREAT), warning Sound do Works but only on actual navigation, not on simulation.

Then i checked the Fingerprint with SKU Creator and notest that there is a new file called "speedcam.spdb"

    Thanks

Wrong place to ask such a questions, you missed the section. MediaNav (I guess) is based on iGO, but many things work differently or it must be adapted

Many questions become very arduous, a lot of time chewed deja vu...Since we have lost all the year of work and effort, many people have no will to answer the same questions again. Me neither. Use a search, please.
