    Default Scheduled start time UX

    I remember in primo was some skin with option to choose the date/hour of route start when planning. Is it possible to have something like that in nextgen with an ux (to have involved .hsp . fsp in route calculation)?

    I put this question for android but maybe it could be needed for wince also.

    Thanks

    Post that skin. I don't know why you need to since with .fsp/.hsp it should do it automatically. That's the whole point of those data.

    Thanks for reply. I will try to find that skin and put primo again on my phone even if I must say I didn't use it for a long time.
    The point is that now we can visualize the historical traffic and make an idea of how heavy the traffic should be in a certain area, but with that option, to plan a route at a specific day/hour in advance, primo was able to give different alternative routes and a more precise view about the jurney. Example: I plan now a (let's say) 400 km route and nextgen says that it will take me about 4 hours to make it (real online traffic considered at the time I plan wednesday night), this allows me to plan some other things when I arrive, but after 3 days when I jump in the car and I make the jurney, the real time it took me to reach the destination could be even longer by an hour (leaving aside other unexpected events in traffic), hour which maybe could have been calculated involving historical traffic). So I cannot be at my destination the time I thought I would be .

    What do you mean route advanced? Why would you want to do that? To preview the route? Data in .fsp/.hsp are static (not realtime), they always going to be same at certain hour of the day, regardless of when you look at it (you can check what hour of the day from the traffic screen). So you could examine the route data at the time of your choosing and it will be the same next week at that same time. Granularity is by hour per day for the week (total of 7*24=168)
    I will wait for your posting to know exactly what that skin provides.

    I remember, it was the dimka skin. I actually tried one variant posted by you here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
    In this Ultimate Sapphire skin (by Rafael Santos), after we create a route, there is option to choose start time, after that if we go back to view the alternative routes, they change according to historical traffic.

    That skin provides UI to "Set Start Time" but no code. This mean that it's using codes in data.zip So you have to test it with a Primo version that works and post that data.zip.

    Update: Ok, I found a data.zip for an old version of Primo and here is what that code does

    I successfully tested the settings above in sys.txt and they work fine in my nextgen israel (gift), with procedure below:

    1. Made route and checked alternatives;
    2. Left route active, closed nextgen, modified sys with different start hour/day;
    3. Started nextgen and the alternative routes were the same. With route active this means the software does not recalculate.
    4. Canceled route and then recreated same route. This time alternatives were different (and different arrival time). So the route must be recreated.

    So, in case you make ux, must be inserted some string that triggeres also recalculate after setting the departure day/hour.

    Thanks!

    Indeed, the codes does just that, thanks for testing. One more mystery of what those fields in sys.txt does, solved. Did you use just .fsp or both .fsp and .hsp?

    Hi!

    I only used fsp tomtom 2017.06 (and related tomtom maps).

    Thanks!

    I am curious, is it possible for you to test with only using .hsp (temporarily removed or renamed all .fsp)? I would like to know if .hsp gives better or worst routing than .fsp but since .hsp is only available for few European countries, it will be difficult to test.
