WIN CE New and Last: Infinity 2.4 ver. 3.3

    Welcome Navigators,

    6b511813e364026cd2142465472e38bd

For Total, which is close to compile iGO - Infinity 2.4 - by a colleague COZZI (Brasil.) Information:
    1. There is another version 3.3 of this compilation (see link)

    2. Unfortunately - this is the last version.

According to the author (spoiler on the original quotation His decision) work on the compilation are completed.

    Spoiler: info by Cozzi
    ADEUS INFINITY.....

    Cozzi.

    Well...
I think that all of us - users of this compilation - there is nothing else - but to say

Cozzi - Friend - thank you very much for your great work

First off - thanks for sharing.

I'm having issues getting the application to load on my Rosen 2DIN head-unit (800x480, WinCE5, 128MB) when using the data.zip that comes in this archive. I immediately get an error saying that "User interface resolution (800x480) is not supported or compatible skin can not be found. Exiting application" - I get this error before any loading screen or anything.'

If I replace the data.zip with the "standard" 405512 data.zip, it boots up fine and seems to work fine - but not sure if I'm "missing" anything by using the stock data.zip.

Any idea what may be causing this issue? I'm assuming that there is some file missing for 800x480 resolution in the data.zip?

    Thank you!

You are not "missing" anything essential.
Data.zip files are responsible for supported resolutions of the program, as well as for accompanying fonts, sounds, icons, and some other functions.
In essence, different data.zip files (if they are correct) have no impact on the functioning of the program, more for "cosmetics" .

Infinity 2.4 package (and many other clones) is based on the standard 405512 version, it have same exe, all major functions and accompanying files, the difference is just boils down to branding and appearance.

Why do you have issue? Who knows, can be many reasons, probably just a small bug in data.zip or sys file.

Strange - can't explain why it's not working with my WinCE 5 2DIN headunit. I've never had this issue with ANY data.zip before - only the only included with this release. Even if I don't change a thing in the sys.txt, I have the issue. ANd simply replacing it with the "stock" data.zip from the 405512 release allows it to boot (obviously, with different loading screen, etc). Not a big deal, but I'm just kind of curious why it doesn't work...

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks!

This reminded me of similar problem a while back on android (it might be related). Certain data.zip are different version than skin. For example Primo 2.0 data.zip only works with skin for 2.0 and Primo 2.4 data.zip only works with skin for 2.4. Make sure you test new data.zip with default skin first.

Thanks. I am testing with the default skin first - at least I'm assuming it's the default skin - I'm just using the archive provided in this thread as-is (save folder is empty at first run). I really never have the option to change or even confirm what skin is being used 'by default' (I'm assuming that you could tell iGo to use a non-defualt skin in the data.zip if you wanted to, via one of the .ini files maybe?).

I'll mess with it a little more today to see if I can determine root cause. Strange that it works for some...

Update - I completely wiped my SD card and re-copied the Infinity 3.3 skin to the SD card and it's working fine now. Sorry for the wild-goose chase! Can't explain what happened or why the first time, but all is well now (and the included data.zip really does change the look!). Unfortunately, quite a few of the add-ons don't follow the desired language, so I have no idea what a lot of the options do! :-)

I serious doubt that your 320x240* WinCE unit has 2GB of memory, it's probably 64MB. The 2GB is storage size which a portion will be available for maps (that you haven't indicate which). Look in the map section and find what you need. You won't be able to update proggy from this thread because it will required at least 128MB of memory.

    * I never heard of 4.3" screen with 320x240, usualy they are 480x272
