Hi Modemakias,

First off, I really want to say thank you to everybody!! I have this working very smoothly on my new Android head unit running Nougat 7.1.2.
BUT....
the TTS voices do not work. FYI, I removed all non-english voices. In the region settings the remaining voices are listed, and I can select them, but there is no preview, and when I back out, it defaults to Dave (to be honest, after about 5 minutes of Dave I really want to kick him in the teeth!!). I have not modified the tts_nua_ve1 folder or any files in it. As far as voices, I only deleted the unused ones located in iGO_Gift/content/voice. Any idea what might be wrong? Did I delete something I shouldn't have??
Ok, so minus the TTS voice (the option for TTSPro in the settings is greyed out), it worked great last night and this morning. On my way home from work today, it couldn't maintain a GPS lock. It was like lock for a second, then lose it, the lock for a second, etc. Check the GPS Information app on the head unit, it showed that had very good connection with 10 satellites. The signal was fluctuating just a little bit, but not more than 2-3%. I restarted iGo, rebooted the head unit, and it didn't change. This is a brand new unit, and I understand there might be some flaws, but every other GPS software I have tried NEVER has an issue with positioning...
Hi bighairyg
Take picture of what you have in VE1 folder and in Voice folder and upload here.
Spoiler: too large pics
I guess it's hard to tell here, but in the content/voice folder I only left the American, British, and Australian voices, and the American and British TTS files.
It is really weird. Send me the original iGO version that came with your unit. Send link with private message. Did you remove save folder and start-up iGO again? Try that first.
My unit did NOT have iGo on it to begin with. The only mapping software it came with is Google Maps.Quote:

Yes, I did delete the save folder and reboot.
I just did a complete removal of all iGO software, rebooted, and reinstalled according to your directions. No nuance voices, no GPS lock, just like before. As far as the GPS lock, I have tried ClockSync (even though my time is auto set via GPS) and I also downloaded and ran GPSFix, which didn't help. I changed my location settings to GPS Only. I am not aware of anything else in the system that has changed.
Not sure if it makes a difference, but when I go into the system settings under Language, under TTS, it only shows Pico TTS.
If it matters, I have installed TomTom Q3 2017 maps.
Maybe I just need to find a different software package to try out? The internet here sucks, and depending on the time of day, it could take 8 hours+ to download a different package. I had iGo Primo running on my previous head unit with WinCE, and loved it, so that's what I wanna stick with.
If you do not have old other version of iGO that worked, than I cannot help you. Maybe you try primo version. If that one is failing to, than your head unit is not okay.
@bighairyg; replace Folder voice (lang?) with this [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

HTH!?? ;)
Nope....with the language and voice files changed, it won't even load (well, loads to a black screen). The changes made to the sys.txt file didn't make a difference.
I did a full factory reset and reinstall, and same exact issues, so I wonder if something is wrong with my system. It seems weird that it worked for two days and then stopped, but Google Maps and HERE still work fine...
I'm gonna do some testing. Thanks for all your help!
