You are using TTS?
Again - clean up cache, clean save folder, clean settings, etc... You must remove all tails of previous versions to make newer versions work properly.
Actually, I do have a similar problem with the sound. 50% of the time the application locks up when exiting and almost every time, the sound is gone. I have to change the TTS engine from google to pica and back to google to get it working again.
My previous version (Basar) did not have this issue. i do not recall if I changed SYS.TXT and did not investigate the problem yet but will within the next 2 days. I think I was locking the app or loosing sounds when simulating a route to test the Freeway services which was my priority then.

Many thanks Boki_Srb for your advice. Since I cleared the cache, the TTS engine worked flawlessly and iGo never locked on exit.
@Dmclloyd You should try it.
TTS works without issue only with iGO_Gift and iGO_Israel, where tts works under folder tts_nua_ve1......
TTS under Vocalizer give issue, the sound is gone like in iGO-Primo android....
Right, becose you are use tts_nua_ve1, no Vocalizer.
Yes, but this not fix issue forever....must do this often.....
NNG have not fix this issue yet......that's why NNG use tts_nua_ve1, TTS-pico(google) but no Vocalizer.

I've been using the same sys.txt. There are no sound settings in it.
I cleared the cache partition and reinstalled the app, it did not help. Here are the steps to reproduce the problem on my phone.
1. Start iGO.
2. Press the home button.
3. Press the power button or wait for the display to turn off
4. Wait 5 minutes.
5. Go back to iGo.

You didn't pay attention to my signatures, did you. Well, read carefully first reference.
Why are you waiting 5min. That have no sense and that is main problem
Again, it is matter of phone management of app/memory, not iGO related.
If you want your phone's apps to stay fully active with their connected drivers. Especially if there's an active TTS, you have to define both the shutdown period, actually the opposite - not to shut them down.

You can wait one minute if you want. Again, this problem doesn't exist in Basarsoft NNG 9.18.27.659452.
Noob Alert:
I apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge and unable to locate the relevant content. I would highly appreciate it if someone can guide me to some detailed instructions. I am confused about the location of the iGo or iGO_World. should it be in the Internal storage with that name?
I would highly appreciate if someone can point me to relevant thread(s) to help me understand or provide me noob instuctions (if it is not too much of a hassle). Once again I apologize for my current lack of knowledge.
Just put unpacked folder in root of your device's internal memory. You can rename it to iGO_World.
[Add all needed content in proper folders, reference: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] ]
Install main apk(make sys) from there.
Read more threads. There are a lot lot lot of discussion about procedure in all cases... Visit [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] section, for beginning.
Welcome to forum
