I wonder if Basarsoft would still work if you just use the correct voice files (*.zip) and not copy nuance_ve1 over. And I'm certain that you can't use voice file made for WinCE on android without first modifying .ini Since iGO/Primo on android uses TTS voice from android; whatever you installed via VocalizerEx is what you get (ie: not possible to change gender by just switching voice.zip) It's possible that nuance_ve1 provides this ability.

    To TTS:
    1. Nuance/Vocalizer or Vocalizerex TTS voice pack / APK+ Nuance or vocalizerex folder with content / to Android device. For example: vocalizer.tts_1.0.2.3f.apk
    2. TTS voice file to content/voice folder.
My hungarian TTS file work Avic and Basarsoft Nextgen version.
nuance_ve1 folder / and ve.dll / only to Wince Nextgen! For example: v9.19.1.460444

TTS works but you need to make sure the info.ini has the correct engine (tts_engine="nuance_ve1") and voice data (E.g eng) Basarsoft needs, you must have the correct content in tts_nua_ve1 folder for the voice to work even though it shows up it the settings.

Basarsoft does not use global Android TTS settings like other Nextgen versions, it uses the local data in the tts_nua_ve1 folder that sits in the IGO_basar.

I have a working Avic setup with TTS, copying the voice from Avic to Basarsoft did not work as it was setup to use Android TTS.

I use this [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] voice for Avic but it didn't show up in Basarsoft until I edited it.

I could be wrong but this is how it finally worked for me.

Oh ok, now I understand. You're trying to use what was created for VocalizerEx under nuance_ve1; one question answered. So now I'm confident that my TTS voice pack should works for iGO/Primo/NextGen using VocalizerEx. Interesting that Basarsoft uses "internal" voice engine and I'm glad only a simple mod was needed for it to work with nuance_ve1.

Thanks - however it only works in portrait mode. If I go to landscape I still can't see sky. When I put tilt_the_map_sky.zip from pongo into ux it only seems to work for portrait?
Does this require expert work or is there anything else that might work.

I've highlighted what the main changes are to make it work, after that TTS worked fine. Keep in mind this info.ini in for English UK Serena so most of the ini is left intact.

TTS voices guide I used are [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Or try [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Not honest? Missing licenses?
Did you see [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]? There is also a search function on this forum that should be used first.
When the licenses keep troubling you (and they will because NextGen is about licenses and licenses only), try another "normal" but not NextGen build like [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]? That one could work flawlessly while NextGen does not work always on every device.

Basarsoft Nextgen v9.18.27.627562 works perfect with normal TTS voices, exactly how with avic. No need to modify any files. tts_nua_ve1 alone cannot work under android, because you need a tts-engine in the android system. My Voice works since iGO primo with VocalizerEX TTS Engine. So why play with nuance_ve1 when VocalizerEX works perfect?!

And damn, this version with original ux content is sooo fast.
