Skin IGO NextGen LUNA by Pongo (DISCUSSION)

Why don't you write the sentence directly in German and Turkish instead of translating it in the Lang file?

In Luna:

the_skin_by_pongo.zip/ui_nextgen/common/ui/the_skin_mods.ui

The software doesn't recognize languages, what is written is what it appears....:)))

Concerning v 12.01.2023 TMC map icons are not shown on the map even though I choose Color and Icon in Traffic menu -> Show traffic info.
I downgraded to 10.10.2022 and I had the same behavior. The colored traffic line is visible but TMC map icons are not.
So is there a setting in sys.txt or in TMC.zip which is responsible for this?

I briefly searched for changes in the TMC.zip. They mainly concern the cockpit TMC button. How it behaves. The folder paths and the svg names seem the same.

I also checked iGO TMC functionally using the original TMC.zip but without success. I cannot see the original TMC map icons. Only the list TMC icons are visible.
Is it only me?
Does anyone else have the same problem?

In the morning I will test it on the road and I will double check the folder and svg icon names.

I would like to thank AnthonyGreek as he finally found out that this bug is due to map version. Skin has nothing to do with it.


I tested also it in three different maps:
Greece 2020 Q4
Greece 2021 Q4
Greece 2022 Q2

The TMC map icons are visible only in map Greece 2021 Q4. Not in Greece 2020 Q4 or Greece 2022 Q2

hi to all.
sorry if it's a noob question, but why can i only choose between QWERTY and Cyril keyboard?
i had take a look at keyboards.xml inside the_skin_by_pongo and it seems there should be more options listed.
i'm using the last version posted without any mods and i made fresh install.

Open sys.txt which is in \iGO_Luna main folder and modify paragraph [keyboard].

For example in order to hide all Keyboards except ENGLISH QWERTY, GREEK and GREEK QWERTY, I used the below syntax in Keyboard paragraph:

[keyboard]
skip_panels="qwertz,azerty,abcd,arabic,hebrew,hebrew_qwerty,thai,hiragana,hiragana_qwerty,pinyin,vietnamese,turkish_q,turkish_f,arabic,Hungarian,russian,Hungarian mobil,Ukrainian Number"

Read the town district name
Read the town name

I've checked and only the second one works. I have announcement of town or suburb and also local area name.
The first one seems not to make any announcements.

Maybe in other countries says something.

Anyone knows?

Not quite sure but this

• might be due to map version or
• should be normal and both options (city and district announcements) are working as below:
  
  1. city name is only announced while entering a different city.
  2. distinct announcement works only with district change.

Maybe someone else has a more valid answer due to real life experience.

Hello ,i am verry curious about:"Announce Welcome Home"? Someone hear the announcement? Im trying from quite time to hear .I write and translate sentence in both dictionary voice and lang but no result

I do neither hear such annoucement

We are thinking this needs to travel a route in real conditions to destination point followed by return back to your home...

... and maybe to add a specific line in the dictionary.voice

@BIBUOT,i have done already a test in real navigation for this sentence,i added sentence and translated in both dictionary voice and lang In sys have this rows

lat=45.46629
lon=27.13285 (but that rows i think work with compass) ,home its saved in favorites,still no sound ,not even if i use english instead my native language,i dont try yet lithuanian wich its present in package
Also the rows[point] ,no longer exist in sys.txt last variant of skin. Probably the master remove it due lack of functionality

I state that I do not use these functions but I wanted to try and the first thing I noticed is that they work the other way around.

With Announce city name active, it notifies me of the names of the municipalities I am crossing.
With Announce district name active, it announces the names of the inhabited centers that I pass through.
With both active, in addition to the notices I mentioned above, together with the name of the town, it also tells me the municipality to which it belongs.

As soon as I open Luna and the GPS hooks up to the satellites, it warns me that I am in the municipality xxxxxxxxx
