The only solution that comes to my mind as solid and feasible is separate TMC and driveralerts zip files (per not included country) in which country's signs will be created as default icons.
What you are trying to implement, I have already done in the universal global_cfg, when using it, svg is not needed at all, except for da_pictograms.svg, neither in driveralerts nor in tmc, as well as all icons, when used in iGO Luna, in versions of NextGen, you need to leave svg and icons in tms only for map, all other svg can be deleted, to avoid duplication. To her God, this is not the main task that needs to be solved in iGO, in my opinion, the most important, it is the updating of TMC events, so that the program, based on them, paves the right route...

It is not a global_cfg.zip or an individual zip file that I am trying to create but country specific road signs or TMC announcements (I am producing the icons - the artistic part) which are not included nowhere (even in your global cfg versions) and can be incorporated everywhere (in a global_cfg.zip or in a separate zip file). The decision of icons incorporation to any global cfg or any individual zip file is then a matter of taste.
But let me point it twice. This is for the country specific road signs or TMC incidents (that are not included nowhere), all about.
Like Italy, Germany, France, Portugal, Belarus etc. I am trying to find a way to add some not included country road signs. You can always see country road signs in the map but in case of the not included countries, default DA and TMC svg icons are similar but not identical, like twins, as I said in my first post. To have your specific country road signs is a bit better....

I am not solving main tasks. I am just trying to add finishing touches.

Perhaps you can create specific icons for countries and register their use in icons, as is done for Greece\Poland, Taiwan, etc...

The problem is a bit more complex than you think:
- If you create a "DA and TMC" ux for each country that uses different signs, by modifying the "def" category.
The signs will no longer be correct when you go to change countries during your route ..... ............

We must test the solution proposed by Bastiskaf in his last message !

No I won't do it. It was just a thought.

I think it will work.
But this could very seriously increase the weight of the ux(s) concerned ..................

In the meantime, I'll do a first test and maybe tomorrow I'll try this:

I changed the icon da_def_animal_crossing.svg, [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

and I named it da_ita_animal_crossing.svg, [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

I added it to the nodpi folder and in the meantime, tomorrow I'll see if it works and what image appears.....

The default icon appears in traffic sign TTS tests.....:sadno:

Works like a charm!

I created three .icons files:
driveralerts_ita.icons (with Poland road signs)
tmc_list_ita.icons (with USA TMC list icons)
tmc_map_ita.icons (with USA TMC map icons)

and Poland road signs with USA TMC icons are visible in Rome!

I will proceed, in my free time, with the creation of the original Italian DA and TMC icons. They can be added in any zip like global_cfg or a separate one.

Concerning zip file size it is few KB per country. Golbal_cfg with bmp icons weights much more in size

I ask you if you will do svg in AI, then save them in the "properties of CSS tables" in the format "view attributes" (the topmost tab), then svg will be universal for Luna and NextGen..... ;)

The way you're doing it can't work. The program does not know the "da_ita_animal_crossing.svg" files, for the program these files do not exist, since they are not declared in the program.
You have two options:
1) Name your files for Italy "da_def_ ........svg" and replace them in the ux "driveralerts.zip".
2) Create a " driveralerts_ita.icons " file (to be added in the " icon ==> sys " folder) so that the program knows that they exist and add your " da_ita_.....svg " files in the nodpi folder of the ux " driveralerts.zip ".

A few KB per country, if you add ten countries, it will be a lot of a few KB............ ;)
