It is not true that the transparency settings are gone, as modemakias has specified, it has only changed its name.

Is it possible to have the "airplane view" as a selectable option, like 2d, 2dN and 3d button and not turning it on/off via Settings->Automatic overview?

It is not neccesary to install the Routeoverview button. You also simply can tap the middle of the screen.
Result is the same. I prefer a clean screen.

Real creator is vjacheslav_o from 4PDA. It was his idea, and he made plugin route_overview.zip
Based on that, Vicewandel made this plugin visual_travel_planner.zip
