Live Online Traffic works! but above Android 11+ there is a trick how to make it work. Also you need correct settings in sys.txt.
You can read how to do the trick by yourself, or directly get the file from the archive here in this topic
Spoiler: link
Live Online Traffic and weather works!
;)
Decel_Live_Online _Traffic and Here_Live_Online _Traffic, This is my install kit weather
Spoiler: screenshots
We know this service works
Servers are working, save files have been attached multiple times in various topics
I know too. Here you can choose from both options.
you don't need to choose different options!
In the EU, the Pongo skin has been running 100% for years incl. Weather and Trafic, as long as SATfix is available.
It's just a license that doesn't allow weather and/or traffic to be loaded from the server; a Pearl*****.lic
SYS.txt entries only require a little basic configuration, the rest is controlled with the skin. That's exactly why it was written by Pongo and all the others - to stop the SYS madness. IMO unfortunately some people still don't get it
I am trying to figure out some things about TMC. On my Android 13 phone TMC works, that is not the problem. But I have a few questions. In the folder contents I used to have a "TMC" folder, with *.tmc files in it. As an experiment I completely deleted that folder. TMC still works. I am running iGO World 9.18.27.736653. Is that "TMC" folder a remnant of earlier iGO versions? Second question: in my part of the world BeMobile seems to be the better online source. But traffic info is loaded from 'Here" (NAVTEC?) Any advise?
@NavNav2
TMC folder with all those files are useless in your case.
You can configure TMC only in 'sys.txt':
This is only my (working) example ;)Code:[network]
available=1
[http]
enabled=1
[tmc.src.http]
enabled="1"
[tmc-http]
enabled=1
start=1
;profile_name="nng-igo-tmc-igoworld"
profile_name="nng-igo-tmc-iphone"
;profile_name="nng-igo-tmc-jci"
;profile_name="nng-igo-tmc-russia"
profile_version=2
udp.enabled=0
dt_dl_0=300
dl_max_events_added=8000
dt_sleep_on_error=30.0
NavNav2 although he has a long tenure at the Forum was not paying attention in school :smile:
The TMC folder and the licenses in it are intended for the real radio signal
Not for online-tmc (internet) which is current with android software
