linked_root_list = "........"
This is exactly what led to the Error message "global_cfg not found" in several Devices since Android 6
Logically, today is a nonsensical Variable with nonsensical Values - or! ??
Everyone has own experience.
I'm using this for external SD:
This "iGO_Maps" must have subfolder "content" which must have it's subfolders (building, dem, map, phoneme, poi and speedcam) depending on which content you put there, but no other content.Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
On systems from Android 4.xx to 10.xx, and never had any problem.
On Android 4.xx, "8489-1917" is changed to "sdcard1"
If content is in internal memory then "8489-1917" is changed to "emulated/0" (on newer androids) and to "sdcard0" on Android 4.xx.
This always worked for me with all NG versions and also with "classic" Primo.
Also, you must be careful which content is in separate folder.
Problem with "black screen" was always related to specific app version on specific Android version, and sometimes only on specific device.

"global_cfg not found" is result of incorrect path to basic application folder (in almost all cases, except when it is really missing) or if application could not reach that folder (has no access), and this is alternative list where program will look if not found in original location.
If that (original) location is correct and accessible, then this list is useless, but it would not generate error.
I never said it must be this way, but only gave an example that I'm using, and never had problems with it.

OK; everyone has their own Experiences. The good thing about it; others learn from it what Errors can be made. Especially when so many Device/Brands often have their specially adapted Android/System - see XIAOMI ......
I don't know what problems you always have with XIAOMI phones
I use (look after others) 3 different Xiaomi phones.
The oldest Redmi 3s with Android 6.0.1, then a Redmi 4x with Android 7.1.2 and a Redmi 7 with Android 9.
Next to Primo there is also Nextgen from NNG (iGO World), Basarsoft, Israel, Israel Gift and for testing on the Redmi 4x also Avicsync and Motrex.
For all without "linked_root_list" in the sys.txt, secondary_root_path is set to "igosd"
No more "witchcraft" in sys.txt, everything just standard.
No problems on any of the devices.
I also use similar configurations on a Huawei Mediapad T3 10 with Android 7 without any problems.
In my opinion, the biggest problem among users is the play instinct ...
Same device (Sony Xperia XZ1 compact) with same problem (Post#20) . After update to pie 9 ,iGo_World stopped working but with the Oreo 8 it worked perfectly. Now I installed iGO_Basar and it works with iGO_Basar but is there a solution to the iGo_World problem? Post#20

IGO NEXTGEN = Europe+Russia 2019 Q2 (5,4 GB)Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
1. Download and extract iGO_Pal_Truck_All_Europa-GARI-Mionka.rar file on desktop, or where you have space on your PC, or at phone internal memory
2. Copy/Move extracted IGO_Pal folder in internal phone memory
3. Open with file manager IGO_Pal folder and install iGO_PAL_9.18.27.719974_SD_VR.apk
Installed this pack on Xiaomi Mi Note 10, Android 9, MIUI 11, think will work on anothers version Android, try.
Enjoy!
