I assume from my experience in DE, many camper friends in my list - who have little or no experience with SYS.txt, neither with graphic app. These people are happy and grateful when they get ready-made bitmap icons in multiple sizes with a KML - and then test which icon format they like.
If you are registered in a forum and know your way around, you can then access other settings and formats.
But I know more people who just "suck" but otherwise have no idea. *.svg is simply not appropriate.

I've had a look at it now. It's a nice gadget, but image editing is not really my thing.
I prefer to stick to creating POIs.
I can create them the way I want, with everything that is possible, and for almost every navigation system. No matter what format the source material is in.

The link is interesting if you want to create Google.kml. For Navi.kml with its special features rather less. E.G.
iGO.kml can do multilayer folders, description, address, phone number. But no line breaks and other formatting in the description.
MagicEarth.kml does not know folders and descriptions, nor line breaks. But it knows address, which can be used for the description, and it knows phone numbers. It could also call websites, but nobody knows how to import them.
By the way, if you name the same file "Favourites.kml", they will not be displayed as poi but as favourites.
MapsMe.kml does not know folders, only descriptions, but here line breaks work. You can also set the pin colours.
What I haven't figured out yet is how to import linked websites.

Well, seems to appears here good things about kml etc.. Im not experienced as you are but seems to be interesting to learn
I agree with @rondoan,manny people dont know dont care about how work kml, i have alot of friend When something go wrong with iGO they call me and i try to explain to do some changes in sys or simply move, comments replace ux map or something else They simply refuse to do things "its complicated they said"
Not manny people its not willing to learn this days
So @rondoan motto [cali say: my Knowledge of today is what I read yesterday] its more than actual these days

I think that's enough now ;) before another admin outed us here too, because it hasn't had anything to do with publishing iGO KML for a long time, the problem with the graphical display has now also been solved.

Already in 2015-06-15 I published my project 'Autohof-Rast in DE', but I didn't work on it anymore because of too little interest.
At that time some of the group "24-Autohöfe" belonged to it, with now 13 not much more.

I have recreated an English version of the Park4night app, specifically for iGO. With some additional adjustments in the description. Of course, I haven't been able to translate everything.
There is also a German version.

as I wrote earlier; my project was 2015. Most of the truck stops were already in HERE- and/or TomTom-POI.
KML is only interesting if there is a lot of information about equipment service in the description. But keeping it up to date is a never-ending task
There are already enough KML with only name and GPS position on the internet. For a long time I was the only one who had entered a telephone number for direct calls, many still don't do this today......

Hi Guys, please help, I am stuck to iGO Luna which is the only iGO that runs on my Motorola G60 phone.
I cannot find anything on with that Luna(tic) User Interface.
I like to load a KML route/waypoints to make a trip on de Motorcycle..
I cannot find any option or way to open such a KML route where did they hide that?
