Default Updated my Android head unit - can't open iGo maps now - help a newbie

Forgive me as I'm pretty new to all of this and have been a little confused and hope I'm in the correct sub-forum. I honestly don't even know what version of iGo I have or how to tell if it's Primo. I didn't realize there were multiple versions.

I have a Joying JY-UL135N2 / JY-UM135N2 Android head unit in my vehicle. The unit came with iGo maps pre-installed on it and navigation was working perfectly. However, the unit was suffering from a Bluetooth cutting out issue so I updated the Android head unit last night with the newest update from Joying.

I copied the entire "iGo" folder to a thumb drive prior to the update. Here's the folder I copied:

After I updated the head unit, I pasted the entire "iGo" folder back into the same folder on the Android. Then, I opened the "iGO_NF.apk" file and it seemed to install iGo.

However, now, when I attempt to use it, I get the following error message "missing or incomplete folder: /data/data/com.basarsoft.igo.javaclient/content/lang".

Can somebody help me out here? Was there an extra file/folder I needed to copy other than the "iGo" folder? Can I fix that missing/incomplete folder somehow? Looking back at the original picture, I see there was a folder called ".here-maps" - am I screwed without that?

    Sorry for not answering before
I can tell you that I currently have 5 different versions of iGo on my smartphones, Israel, Pal, Gift, Africa, and variations ..

I do not use the famous "addons" folder, I use a folder for everyone in the sd called
for me "IgoData", where I put the content,

and so far, all versions share maps without problems, etc.

I think that having replaced the system, your internal igo folder was deleted, named "com.nng.xxxx.javaclient"

But I do not know why the re-installation does not work

I want to have your question alive, and I hope you find the solution, luck

sure it does not help you to tell you to look for information, for the tone in which you question the question, you see that you've done it

many times, in these cases, as has been said many times, delete the folder "save" and you can delete the Dalvik cache and restart

if it does not work, you will have learned a bit of what does not work

But do not worry, I'm sure if you follow it, you'll get it

    Tool

Same with me: Android updated to version 8.0.0 last night and now my iGO Primo Israel 9.6.29.636868 does not work.

I suppose is a too old version and is not working with Android 8, because I had same problem with another app which was warking well before update. Actually, I suppose iGO is working, because I can here some warnings from iGO as "no satellites found" (I'm into a building), but screen is completely black.

Any more recent version to install? Or anything to fix that problem?

Not the same problem at all.
Read more threads, already discussed so many times: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Use Nextgen.

As for the creators of topic:
it is a matter of basic ignorance and a great lack of knowledge. Not for iGO then for Android.
He obviously does not know how to uninstall the old application and install the new one. It has nothing with iGO in general.
I do not intend to blame anyone, but if you're already using a some device to learn to work with it. Same thing as Android mobile phone.

    Thanks. I will install Nextgen.

Is there anyway to update Primo to Netxgen or I have to install Nextgen from scratch?
And, if I do it, can I import my saved data from Primo to Nextgen?

You can not update different type of software. As mentioned - uninstall old, install new one.
Of course, just use a search next time:
