Hello...
Before do anything try first with a newest global_cfg.zip
Could you figure out the solution Sharpie? I have the same problem, and it drives me nuts..
Really??? Sharpie did not give the necessary information for help nor did he respond.
Have you read the first answer to the question? And now we need to guess which device you have, what you have on it, what files, settings ...
Read section [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. You can read [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] also...

Oh dear, thats a really bad bad thing he did there. Even though he didnt not provide all the information you like to have and you could not help him, he could have solved the problem on his own. This is why I asked him if he did. But.. ..if we are at it I have the following things here:
- The device is a Wayteq x995 Max 7" tablet
- The resolution of the screen is 1024x600
- I installed iGO primo on it and i have the following settings in the sys.txt under [rawdisplay]
[rawdisplay]
force_renderer="RENDER_MOYA"
;highres=1
driver=engine
screen_xy="auto"
;screen_xy="800_480:1024x552/600x976:fullscreen"
;screen_x=1024
;screen_y=552
;screen_x2=600
;screen_y2=976
I also tried running it with screen_xy and the rest uncommented instead of using the "auto" option, it seemingly doesn't make any difference.
- The device is not rooted.
- It is an Android 4.4.2 device.
- The exact version is iGO_Israel_9.6.29.625822 which I want to run on it.
- The software is installed on the internal sdcard, but the contents are on an external card.
- The maps are 2017 Q2 version.
- I tried Doupas_V9.0_Crystal-Pearl-Silver-Default_2.4_Final skins, it did solve the issue, but it would be nice to have the original look and menu structure.
- I dont have any specific addition installed.
The problem is that the current street name is dsiplayed in a text box, which is placed right in the center of the screen, so it blocks the view of the nearby streets. I believe it is a problem with resolution settings, because when i enter simulation, the bottom left menu button is also elevated to the height of the street name's text box.

Without excessive irony, I would ask.
1024x600 resolution is extremely problematic. Do some search on forum (or a web) you will find a tone of complains.
To turn off some of right buttons is simple - find proper setting.
About names - it is directly related to resolution.
Unfortunately, there is no unique solution. Even with some dedicated packs, there are problems on most of the devices. You have to experiment with values using sys.txt parameters and multimode.ini, or using skins.
The simplest and most reliable solution is to use NextGen. Any package you want.
Yes I know this is a problematic resolution, I have already read a number of posts on various forums. I have tried nextgen, but the problem is that it crashed too often. The tablet is not mine, and the guy who owns it is a truckdriver, and he wants something reliable. Using a skin solves the resolution issue, but you know the truckdriver buddy isnt too smart and as such guy it somewhat hurts him to learn something new.. As I see at the end he have to go through the pain anyway
What version of NextGen that "crashed too often" on your tablet?
Do not PM me with questions. That's what a forum is for.
The version of Nextgen was iGO_9.18.27.705829. After installation I tested it with simulation without any issues, but guess what happened when I started it to show him, it crashed right away..
