Using Igo PPrimo 220.127.116.11.13 with WinCE 6
Collected map files, including FBl and FJW and FPA
These three are very similar in sizes, placed in /content/map/
What these three files are used for ?
Do I need all three of them ?
FBL (probably mean Base Layer) is the actual map; without it you won't see any road. Base*.fbl has major road around the world for region references but you need specific country/state .fbl to see all roads.
FJW (Junction view SVG format) is graphic showing where to do off a highway. It's just fancy eye candy but will only works if you have license for it. The other (old) format is FJV (Junction view Bitmap format) So far, only NextGen and Becker uses FJW. If you're using iGO/Primo then don't waste space for it.
FPA (Point Addressing) is where addresses (along with entry points) stored individually in map file (instead of by street-segment based interpolation) Vital in: Russia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria. The SW feature is included in the base product, but requires additional content and content license. source: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

fpa - Addressing (street address)
There are detailed explanations in the thread I linked above in post n6
Edit:I corrected post n1, fpa was wrong
--skipping FPA (I am in N-America)
--try FJW to see if it does something
Thanks for all the info
