I think it will be resolution dependent. I have CE 800x600 with 128mb of ram and really wish it had 256.. even for igo8. 3xxX2xx probably even nextgen will run well. Also how much ram the PNA front end consumes. I liked adding miopocket but had poweroff problems and flash corruption on this unit. Not on the previous... but it got stolen. Shame it had an atlas V which had better gps speed and cpu too vs mediatek.

Hey Boki_Srb. I wonder if you can explain 'few modifications', or paste sys.txt. I have a similar device (MIO Spirit 380 running kia version) and it runs ok but sometimes 3d map is slow and i just wondered if there is anything i can adjust to improve situation. I have searched the forum but can't find anything. Thank you.Quote:

Just a little optimization, nothing more. Primarily data.zip from which I removed redundant elements (unnecessary resolutions), removed files i don't use, dll's ... no skin, no extra ux's, minimalistic sys with added only speedcam section described on Forum.
As for 3D, you should use the "lightest" DEM file. I have described everything else that needs to be applied in [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
However, the general problem with MIO devices is that the UI is adapted to their software. Such a weak device wastes resources on running services that are not being used.
It is better to buy a generic (Chinese) device without any software and insert iGO. Even some 5" branded can be found second hand for a little money.
