    Wojpen,

Your settings did force 800x480! Finally the correct settings. only one problem left to solve. When 800x480 was forced, the blue background on cockpit or main menu (not in map) is now not stretching to sides of screen. There is about a 1/4 inch gap on both sides of screen the background doesn't cover. On map screen it uses whole screen..perfect, no gaps. If I could simply change size of the blue background (what you see after boot up) to reach all the way to both left and right sides, it would be PERFECT. Buttons all fit perfect, they even extend out past blue background to fit perfect as they should. Issue is ONLY the background on main screen. Even map screen perfect. Can I just change size of background bmp or image? If so, how? THANK YOU

you have to rezise default_skincol_landscape.bmp and default_skincol_portrait.bmp on your resolution .
    Or use from 1024_768 folder.
    Just copy from 1024_768 into 800_480 .

You guys are awesome! I was told at another site to come here as you guys could solve my issue, and it looks like you have. I will copy the files into the 800x480 folder from 1024x768. I cannot express how much I appreciate you guys helping me.

When I copy these files, should I copy them into the 800x480 folder of the IGO software AND the 800x480 folder for the skin? Or just one of them, which one? Many thanks to Costas and Wojpen.

I just realized in the branding.zip skin I have, the 1024x768 has the default_skincol files, but the 800x480 doesn't have them at all. If I want to use the skin, do I not have to put them in the 800x480 (in the branding 800x480 file). Thanks

This IGO you linked me to is regular IGO with no particular theme? My regular IGO works fine, I just couldn't get the skin to work properly. I changed the landscape and portrait files just like costas said and IGO wouldn't boot again. Same error, no compatible skin. I had to remove those files and put the regular 800x480 landscape and portrait files back. I guess I can live with it. The map looks perfect, the problem is only on boot and blue backscreen. Just a little short on the sides of the screen. I will post some pics. The map screen isn't messed up at all. It is good.

Here are the pics. Notice map perfect, only black on sides of other background screens. How would I go about resizing the default skincol landscape.bmp file for landscape to 1024x536 which is exactly what my head unit is claiming resolution required. I think the reason it didn't work is because it was trying to use a 1024x768 bmp when that isn't my resolution and forcing 800x480 in multimode makes everything else 800x480. I got the same error I got before after trying to use the 1024x768 bmp. If I can figure out how to change the resolution of the bmp to match, I believe it will work fine.
