try maybe branding.zip from different igo version, sometimes it work this way
What do you want, buddy achieved in this way?
The specified icon must be assigned to a specific category of POI.
If you want to change the picture - you need to change the icon - unless in this group is to choose categories - if you change the category icon or turn off the other and leave only the one that interests you - I wrote about it here -> [Only registered and activated users can see links. Hi Friend,
Connect your device to the PC.
First - delete the contents of Folder SAVE (round).
Here the link to the rar file. which includes your branding.zip.
Unzip and copy the file branding.zip to a folder iGO.
In the file, you typed in the First your post - have been changed icons - according to your choice.
Run igo, check what is visible and show the screen - preferably from the same place as before.
If something does not work - do screen, or save the message.
regards wojpen

In a similar way, you can enter an icon for the Temples of other religions - eg. The Orthodox, Greek-Catholics, Evangelicals, etc. - But under the condition that the coordinates of the points will be showed precisely these structures - and the problem is only the icon! In another case, an icon symbolizing the place - will indicate the other - the wrong objects.
Of course - by importing POIs you can be attributed to them at once appropriate icon.
PS.
I put these icons

I have test the file (branding folder) in my igo program by the (EmulatorCE)
the icon of the mosque has appears as I want, and I noticed that the poil cemetery code has signs in places point and also appeared on the map.
I will try the program on the road to let you know the details.
in the fact I am sure that I no longer take it online world, by the biggest proof that we are in a real world friends brought us love.
M sure that is very difficult that thing and m sure too that that way is very difficult too for me to do that >
all my thanks and respect and regards.

Supplement;
To properly display program icons iGO POI - in the archives data.zip, or branding.zip - there is a file named poi.icons.
*- Here a little reminder:
iGO is a program of the hierarchical structure in which the primary file (job control) - is data.zip !, but if you make changes - eg. new icons, etc., and they will be placed in the file branding.zip - is there information - will be collected branding file, which means that the statements contained therein shall prevail.
If enter the information into sys.txt - it will be the master of sys.txt information - it is worth remembering when performing modifications - not necessarily need to fumble in data.zip, sometimes enough entries in the branding.zip, or sys.txt.
*- Let's go back to the file poi.icons
Here, a fragment - for exactly the topic, which were dealing with - an icon Church / Mosque
1. [Community.Place_of_Worship]
$ Poi_mapdistant.bmp
poi_mapclose.spr 38
poi_mapclose.spr 38
poi_group.spr 38
poi_disabled.spr 38
poi_hwy.spr 38
poi_hwy_disabled.spr 38
2. [Community.Place_of_Worship.Mosque]
$ Poi_mapdistant.bmp
poi_mapclose.spr 85
poi_mapclose.spr 85
poi_group.spr 38

3. [Community.Place_of_Worship.Synagogue]

poi_mapclose.spr 86
poi_group.spr 38
poi_disabled.spr 86
poi_hwy.spr 38
poi_hwy_disabled.spr 38
- Numbering I put to describe - is not normally present!
the numbers in the individual lines show the number of icons assigned to the point.
As you can see for the home - [Community] is a subcategory [Community.Place_of_Worship] - that is, places of worship, and it was added subcategories - two.
[Community.Place_of_Worship.Mosque]
[Community.Place_of_Worship.Synagogue]
And one more thing: in iGO is the principle that if certain POIs have subcategories - in the absence assign icons to a subcategory - displays an icon of the category above - that is, in our example - if Mosque and Synagogue - did not have their icons (numbers 85 and 86) - it was visible to the icon of Community.Place_of_Worship (number 38).
Thanks - without converting icons to insert relevant images for the sub-category, and include them in POI visibility settings.
In existing files branding.zip - when large amounts of POI solution is preferred - because the icon files consist tape (the order of icons in the tape is the same as the file poi.icons) - so that the weight of the branding file is much smaller - that very materiality of iGO to WinCe.
The following portion of the tape with icons referred to above ...

Dear wojpen
After being briefed on the high-end guidance and help to change some points of interest to me
and guide you in the way they have been dealt with in an amendment to the folder branding.zip
I realized the size of your trouble and splendor regestering to this forum, which gathered together.
In my experience of the program have become icons work as I wished it to be.
the second branding u sent to me i saw blue balloons instead of either pois.
So I offer you all my thanks and abundant respect and appreciation
We are also happy to be together more than friends brought us love.
All due respect
