help Issue with iGO8 on 2 din unit

Hi there I am new to the GPS world and I am struggling to get my gps to work on my erisin 2din car unit. It has a 4gb sd card and when i try to run the navigation first it shows no signal for a split second then goes to loading screen for 2-3 seconds and throws me back in the win side but with not responding touch screen and after 3-4 seconds it shows loading screen again and cycles like that for ever i guess. I havent seen igo interface i think. It is using igo 8.3.5.193... I did clean crash.txt for a clean log but not helpful as it says igo.map not found or similar i can post it on request.I did delete saved folder. Any help would be appreciated
    thanks
    Dan

The "map not found" error is NOT what it seems. It points to a map.txt file that is useful for NavNGo programmers and for them only. That file is not produced by "cured" software.

First thing to do is to delete the save folder! Then try again and when IGO does not start try the next step.
IF I am correct, your Erisin is 800*480 resolution. Please check in data.zip/ui_igo8 if there is a 800_480 folder in it. Be careful opening the data.zip! When closed wrongly, the file may be corrupted. A safe solution is to open a copy of the zipped file on PC.

Thanks for the reply, as I mentioned in my first post I already deleted the saved folder. Right now it is present however it is empty. I made a copy of the data.zip file onto my computer however while extracting it, it reported that file was corrupted but in the ui_igo folder the resolution you mentioned was present. Anyhow I assume it will not work with a corrupted file ?
    Thanks

No, that is: when the file on SD is corrupted and not got corrupted while copying. So download the file again (or the build when you have to) since most likely the download contains a faulty bit or byte.
Anyways, it's always possible the uploaded file was corrupted on upload (I have experienced it once or twice), in which case you need another link.

And yes, you wrote you deleted the save folder, my mistake; Only remember that as long as IGO is not running properly, the save folder should be deleted every time to loose the faulty ini files/settings/etc. Only issue is that all settings must be redone until everything works. Then it's a good idea to keep a copy somewhere on PC to find the system settings (port/baud/resolution) when needed.

When IGO keeps crashing, post crash text and sys.txt.

Thank you very much for the replies. No i did not try and tell you off because you didn't see something, i just wanted to make sure i understood correctly and everything is clear as it would be very difficult to try and narrow my problem down if i didnt understood you 😁. Anyhow yesterday after your reply i made a copy of my data.zip file and tried extracting it on my computer and thats when i discovered it was acthally corrupted, at that point i tried browsing the web looking for that zip file however i wasnt actually aware what to look for as there are a lot of version of the navigation systems i assume and i didnt wanted to make the issue even bigger. I did not find any download sections in this forum and i did try the search button but came to no avail. Then you said download the build if you need for but i dont know what would be suitable for my device.
    Thanks

What I meant was that in need for the file you might want to download again the build that you downloaded before.
What build is best suitable for your device will always be trial and error, even when cracked IGO is kind of universal.

Why bother...Try another version or another source. I'm using this version whenever I need iGO8:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

It's adopted for all possible resolutions which are common on wince/wm devices...
