nextgen iGO with HERE maps "Speed limits Failure"

    Hello,

I use iGO navigation with HERE 2014 Q3 maps. And i am very disappointed with speed limits. Speed limits in the HERE Q3 2014 maps are 80% or more wrong.

I use iGO across whole Europe and in every European country speed limits in iGO navigation is a mess. Nobody bothered with this false speed warnings?

Is this posible to fix or something.

Why don't you try the TomTom (for iGO) maps?

In my experience, they are more accurate. Not only speedlimits, but also routing is better in my opinion.
About the routing: I use TT since some years because (and this was for sure true at the time) the Navteq (now named HERE) made me do unneeded detours, instead of just taking the road I had to take to make my route. (e.g. drive on for a distance to turn back and make the turn in to the street I passed before).
I then "accused" the IGO build as the cause, but replacing that build did not make a difference. Simply replacing the maps did, whatever IGO build. Since I am a fan of TomTom maps for IGO/Primo

You will lack the driver alerts, but keeping the eyes on the road has the same result

What do you think about POIs in TomTom maps?

Here POIs are very unreliable and lacking (In Zurich can't find Main Trainstation and so). Gas stations are duplicated (one in the right place, other "gas station" just nearby but fake).

    Fingers crossed for TomTom now.

You can try the TT POI's in your region.
The HERE (+ extended) seems to have more POI (bigger files) than TT, however I can not say much about accuracy.
I most of times navigate to an address, not to a POI. As for POI showing on the map (like e.g. gasstations) I have not yet missed one or saw it on the wrong side of the road. Consider that when I am not looking for e.g. a gasstation, I do not pay much attention to it on the road or on the GPS screen.

I really have no idea what map is better for Slovenia, TomTom or the "local" map made by Monolit (?). That one is AFAIK not renewed that often but I do believe has a bigger size so could/or should be more detailed (or have more roads in countryside).
I think the last one I saw is 2012 or 2013 and is +/- 34,5 MB in size (compare with HERE 9MB, TT is 15MB).
Someone might provide it (or newer) when you ask nicely. I am no collector and most of times only download what I need myself.
