Don't know, I see settings and VR button in my NextGen9.18.27.687519-Gift(26Jan2017) but it doesn't work because I haven't change voice config from Hebrew (doesn't match my regional setting of English) I suggest you start with the original Gift proggy without any skins nor UX's not native to it.
Please try free_text_vr.zip from post #9. You are familiar with modding and you can find what is changed. In It was removed just a requirement for hebrew languageQuote:

... and I forgot to write, i added the possibility that with the long tap we directly entering in quick search box to enter streets in the city in which we are now ... This is very useful for taxi drivers and deliverers for example.
EDIT: @iVoy what is your app? ...in someone, VR isn't working because missing Mic. permission
Found the culprit ..... I changed TTSpro ux for the zervdim's one, that's why.
In order to have VR visible the original ttspro ux must be used (or you rename any other one to it, have not checked it though).
A question is it only me or all of you get this image:
Spoiler: image
Does anyone know how to remove the awful white background so the button matches the rest?
Your "tmc.zip" isn't original one too?
This is why I insisted on using original release; and I keep telling people unless the UX was made for that proggy and you know what you're doing, don't use it..Quote:

Regarding the "awful white background" I do not see this with my original proggy. Again there is a UX that you are using that's doing that. Are you using the original data.zip and original the_skin.zip?
Guys, we are getting out of topic here. Please keep discussion on VR for Israel. Ask admin to move all irrelevant posts off to another new thread.
ENABLE=(1)Quote:

It's not good ((( this edit did someone when we did know haw to run vr on another languages (and voices)
Right line it's ENABLE=(%lua.VRAvailable)
I don't recommend this ux utility
It's just a quick hack to make sure the UI is not the problem, it does not mean that VR will worked magically. Even with the "correct coding", if VR is not correctly available, the boolean will not be true and we're in same situation. The solution is to somehow make "VRAvailable" true. And when it is, ENABLE=(1) will work.
Update: It would seem that VRAvailable is set to true via vr.zip\vr.lua
in which MODEL.vr.engine_available() is most important to be trueCode:function sc_VREngineAvailableChanged()
if MODEL.vr.engine_available() and VR.IsLCIDSupported(MODEL.regional.current_language.lcid()) and MODEL.regional.current_voice.is_tts() and MODEL.regional.current_language.lcid() == MODEL.regional.current_voice.lcid() then
MODEL.lua.VRAvailable = true
:
*sigh* the function is less than optimal because IsLCIDSupported is
which again checked vr.engine_available(), the logic for sc_VREngineAvailableChanged could have been simplier withCode:function IsLCIDSupported(lcid, ModeRequired)
if MODEL.vr.engine_available() ~= true then
return false
end
local lcid_supported_by_engine = MODEL.vr.is_lcid_supported_by_engine(lcid)
if not lcid_supported_by_engine then
return false
end
:
All this hocus pocus require understanding of data.zip/media_libs/vr_lib which require a whole lot of time and effort :(Code:if VR.IsLCIDSupported(MODEL.regional.current_language.lcid()) and MODEL.regional.current_voice.is_tts() and MODEL.regional.current_language.lcid() == MODEL.regional.current_voice.lcid() then
MODEL.lua.VRAvailable = true
:
Yes. And after that we are have many questions that vr button is active but function not working )))))
The hack never worked (because of the reason I've given) But the "real" problem is not because of forcing the ENABLE of the button to 1, it's the appropriate variable not being true. So unless the functions of VR are understood, problem won't easily be solved. So the question I have is where is the "binding" of the "VR model?"
This is the same situation that I try to get "Truck function" to work in other proggies. Simply hacking (kludging) of making the UI show (and allow) the settings doesn't guarantee that it would work. It all depend on the internal engine and the settings of variable that the engine uses.
In design we call this separation of interface from functionality.
