Default [SOLVED] Help me load bluechart maps unto my Garmin Oregon 550

I went through the tutorials and I am not sure what I am missing. Your help is greatly appreciated as I was hoping to use the GPS tomorrow.

I have two maps in .img format:

    - HXUS039R-US All & Canadian West Coast g2 v2013.5
    - HXCA015R-Canada g2 v2012.5

I want to load them and use them on my Garmin Oregon 550.

I have downloaded MapSource 6163 and applied the patch and downloaded JM_KG_v1.5_ChecksumFix. I tried to following the instructions on the guide by I can't get the .img maps unto MapSource. I tried using gmaptoolsetup0973 and splitting it for MapSource but it keeps giving me "There were errors, result is faulty."

Not sure what else to do. Please help!

No, don't try to use MapSouce like that as I just replied to you in the MS thread. For BlueCharts which are supplied only in a .img file it's simply not possible to 'install' them to a computor in any meaningful way. Only very old BlueCharts are supplied in a form to be installed for MS.

You should place the chart on a microSD card: Garmin/gmapsupp.img works with all devices. If your maps aren't 'unofficial' (purchased for media card or device) then you must unlock them correctly. Search for gimunlock.
