Accord 2009, 2010 - FAILED MANY TIMES!! DO NOT UPDATE AS YOU MAY END WITH THE BRICKED UNIT!!!

    As explained this might happen:

    Hi Guys

Burned the west dvd and popped it in the dvd drive in the back, it started updating fine but when update finished i just got a black screen.

Now every time i start my car the Honda Navigation logo/screen comes up as it always have but then the screen just turns black, no nag screen or anything.

I have tried everything i can think of, holding the map/guide + menu + cancel buttons, removing the battery cable for a while, popped in the original dvd, nothing works.

Anyone experienced this before? Any solutions? Accord 2009
Guys for the safety precaution I suggest you that you rather don't even try the update if your car is 2009 or newer!! Better wait for the fix! If you get black screen, there is nothing you can do except replacing the DVD unit (BN418PO, BN418PB)!

Edit 4.8.2016 - added new links for properly patched both DVD's so there is no "Black screen" scenario which was happened on some occasions with previous release.

    Thanks to black1

    Hello

This version (3.A0) would serve to CRV 2007?

    Hello,

what is more safe for Honda Accord 2009r. - update maps to ver3.90 or update to fixed maps ver 3.A0?

Anyone can confirm that made update map in Accord 2009r to ver 3.A0 and update ran without any problems?

    thanks!

    Best,
    Greg
