Default [Disscussion] WinCE - Android and IGO Primo - IGO NextGen

    Good Morning
I used to use IGO Primo (which I really liked) on my WindowsCE head unit but that head unit died.
I have just installed an Andriod (10?) head unit and it has IGO Nextgen 9.18.27.687519 installed.

Boot up screen when IGO loads flashes up something about ‘Israel’ – don’t know what that is about?

Actually, I don’t really know much about Android at all – having always used Windows previously.

Is my current IGO Nextgen the latest?
Can I also run IGO Primo?
I don’t know how to do that or even if it is possible.

    Country [Australia]
    Best Regards

PS I also really don't know all the differences / advantages between the various IGO types and versions - is there a ready reference I can read up on?

Too many questions in such a short time

The latest version is not always the best. It is generally important to have the freshest content.
A lot depends on your needs. Advantages - mostly some additional functions.
Only one version of Primo can work on newer devices.

The answers to exactly all these questions and much more than that you have in the appropriate section:

Question iGO NEXTGEN: Default Road colours

I have an iGO Nextgen installation that I am still learning about.

I have also been searching here and via Google about various things and also downloaded a user manual [98 pages] and reading that as well.

My question is in relation to road colours when a route is set.
When set, my route is shown in red. There is a side street that I pass fairly regularly and that one street always shows up in magenta.
That street is not part of my route - any ideas what magenta is supposed to signify?

Also, on my set route, there is a small length, maybe 2 kilometres, that shows up brownish and the iGO Nextgen shows a detour around it.
That brown segment is part of the highway and can be travelled on - I don't know what the brown signifies.

In short - is there a reference anywhere showing what the various street colours signify?

I hope this is NOT too many questions.

    No, but still wrong section
Roads can also be pink, green, yellow...depends on the software, the skin, or if I liked it that way.

And first learn to walk, then run after

Just out of interest - what specific section should I have posted the question in?

No doubt, if I were to post it there now I would be breaking the 'duplicate posts' rule.

    ------------------------------------
    IGO Nextgen 9.18.27.687519 installed.
    ‘Israel’ – whatever that is
Skin by Pongo, again, whatever that is also

you chose the most complicated skin.

The question should be asked in the Pongo skin topic.
And before that, I would advise you to to browse and ead. A LOT. Take a free time in several days...If you have a good will.
