Muslim terrorists in the West “are a diverse collection of individuals, fitting no single demographic profile, nor do they all follow a typical pathway to violent extremism.” As in other countries, they tend to be either converts or second-generation, native-born children of legal immigrants.
Some recruits, the agency notes, “are involved in drug-taking, drinking alcohol and visiting prostitutes.” But they don’t appear to be mentally unstable, lone-wolf characters; in fact, a majority of those over 30 have steady relationships, and most have children. They also tend to be well educated and employed, albeit typically in low-income jobs. Rather than intense monastic religious devotees, they tend to be non-faithful individuals who are drawn to radical peer groups for political or personal, but not religious, reasons. The study concluded that four factors were leading to terrorist radicalization: “trauma,” such as the death of a loved one (10% of terror suspects had experienced this); immigration without family members (a third of extremists had “migrated to Britain alone” as students or labourers); “criminal activity” (two-thirds had criminal records); and “prison” (many were radicalized while serving time).

Indeed, religious devotion simply does not correlate with violent radicalism. In one study, the Gallup organization examined the 7% of Muslims worldwide who are considered “radical”—that is, who condone the September 11 attacks and view the United States unfavourably—and found that they are no more religious than the general population of Muslims. Pew, in 2008, found that the proportion of non-religious German Muslims who said that “attacks on civilians cannot be morally justified” (94%) was identical to that of religious believers who said the same (94%). In France, it was 94% of religious French Muslims and 82% of the nonreligious; 90% of religious British Muslims and 87% of the nonreligious disapproved of attacks on civilians.
    So what?

A couple of LIBERALS regurgitating what they heard on their tv sets while the White race and Western Civilization is under mortal attack on all fronts, especially by that same mass media and television, the mass media having been bought up and now completely controlled by the likes of George Soros true name Giorgy Schwartz, who financed the black Ferguson riots and "Black Lives Matter" and most likely the ongoing non-white immigration INVASIONS of the west. ISIS is a creation of the USSA and Israel. People do notice how ISIS only kills mohammedans and never attacks Israel, you know. They are already proudly boasting - blacks, mohammedans, and their puppet presidents like Slick Willy Clinton of Arkansas Murder Inc., and probably his reptilian witch of a wife that the ruling reptiles probably plan to install next after their usual no paper trail preprogrammed computerized elections shams. And of course the latest creature they've installed in the White House, Barak Hussein Obama, formerly known as Barry Soetoro when he was plying his trade as a homosexual male prostitute in Hawaii. Other known aliases he's used: Barry Dunham. He picked up the name Obama from the CIA's man in Indonesia where the Obama mama cohabited with him, as well as countless other non-whites, probably including Malcolm X, who is the spitting image of "Obama", and they were both in Africa at the same time, and "Obama" looks nothing at all like the black Luo tribeseman (!) who he claims is his daddy. This "manchuran candidate" was picked out by the men behind the screen who really run things in the USSA to be the puppet president even long before he was born. Both he and his transexual "wife", formerly director at the chicago CFL secret society for the rich and powerful, are both disbarred lawyers with all their historical records sealed up tight,

It is interesting how all the USSA presidents except one (they probably just haven't found his connection yet) are actually related to one another - and to King John of England (1116 - 1216). That includes the Clinton crime family and the Bush crime family and Soetoro alias Obama, and also their vice presidents, the consummately evil Dick Cheney, and dim witted Joe Biden.

OK, more for then liberals to ignore and parroting what they saw on tv and posting cut and pasted videos. Funny how people waste time getting drawn into arguing on millions of different internet websites with millions of different strangers. Waste of time. There are about six million other places that are more productive if one wants to do this. Just that I start typing and get into it, and stupidity and lack of common sense irks me wherever I see it. I'm moronophobic. Morons irk me.

Everybody here likes to argue with Foo. But unfortunately, Foo, no offense, but your mind is not sharp, and like your convoluted explanations about how to update a GPS map, which got no place in a hurry, so are your attempts to understand the world situation.

Tom Wolfe called them "poor little fatties" in his Bonfire book. They don't have a clue what's planned for them.

Jean Raspail, on the other hand, saw it coming. His book *Bonfire of the Vanities* was written in the 70's. It is on Amazon, most popular now.

I've been there, getting kicked off a forum is no fun and rather pointless IMHO.

Look, pal, I'm in the habit of getting kicked out of places. It started when we were kids and would sneak in the movie theater through the exit door, but sometimes actually pay, 26 cents children's price, and go in through the front door with the riff raff. Moveies then, the kiddie shows, included two features + Movietone News +coming attractions + cartoons. We used to sit there and crack jokes, very very humorous jokes I thought, but eventually the matron - they had uniformed matrons then - now they'd need armed guards working in fours with fierce dogs and guns - would finally escort myself out by my ear. My arguments that the other moviegoers should be paying extra for hearing my excellent jokes, fell on deaf ears, and she'd then deposit me on Dyckman or 207th Street or 181st Street, as the case may be. Anyway, I developed the habit of getting personally escorted out of establishments by a uniformed lackeys and came to feel that leaving under my own steam was ill befitting a boy of my dignity, and I still maintain that regal stance.

Actually, thinking back it was George who was the loudest, especially during the cartoons, which drove him crazy, but I took the rap, perhaps because he was much bigger than me at the time and maybe I was flopping around more and closer to the isle seat. But that's OK because he later (most unwillingly) took the rap for me when I carved funny things into my building's hallway walls. (They were funny and I thought that the landlord would be happy to lower the rent because I did that...and oh yes on the ground in the courtyard too, but I did get blamed for that caper, even tho I did it. Shocking.)

The only reason it took so long to update your GPSMAP267C Melvin is because (i) you chose to believe Garmin, not me [i was right]; (ii) you would not learn to use MU to update your unit from a PC Install version [i said you could and once you overcame your stubbornness you did, but much later]; (iii) finally, due to your initial closed-mindedness or inability to learn, i felt sorry for you and went to the trouble of making you a regional map as an RGN file then uploading it for you to flash. I've done that for others and was surprised you weren't able to do it on the first attempt. Flashing regions on old units like that is actually very simple, not convoluted and anyone looking back can see that my instructions albeit detailed were hardly convoluted. To tell the truth i thought you were feigning to keep the gag running but maybe you weren't.

And nobody argues with me or anyone else here, we are having a measured discussion about a potentially catastrophic world problem which should and does worry every rationally thinking adult. Most people give opinions based on their views, biases and preferences. Those views are also formed by the information currently available to them. The same info may be processed differently by individuals resulting in diverse opinions. That's perfectly normal and acceptable. You're entitled to your opinions regarding conspiracy theories too, which, sorry to say this, are based on conjecture, rumour, innuendo, chinese whispers and often downright untruths imho. But you're still entitled to have those views and although i do believe that ppl who subscribe to them are the secular equivalent of religious fanatics i still will defend their right to hold such views. That's in spite of the 'conspiracy theorists' and their devotees usually reacting exactly as you have in post #703, treating the rest of us as weak-minded liberal fools who accept and re-hash whatever is told to us ..... Hang on! That's not us ... THAT'S YOU! We have diverse views and it's YOU who have fallen in lock-step with the nutters.

I've had a discussion with Caty about this thread and we've decided it holds no place in the dedicated GPS forum and would therefore be better continued in our parent forum Noeman's off-topic section

I'll soon close this thread, but in the interests of fairness leave it open for a while in case there are any parting comments. Please keep your comments respectful. Jokes are ok but make sure that it's clear they are. Rough ragging is fine, but there's a point when it interprets as insulting in the written word because there's no easy way to add the tone needed so can be misinterpreted. You need to poke me in the eye with a pointy stick to offend me normally, but i do object to being told my mind is not sharp in the context of #703 above.

Then let's not close with hard feelings, Foo. It was fun at the beginning, and in the middle too. Don't take me so serious. And you did try to help me and I am ever so grateful even though your help drove me to drink (egg nog at the moment).

Sincerely yo, Your northern hemisphere pal,

Melvin of the Apes (pronounced Ah-pay)

PS Can I help it if everyone except me is stoopid?

PPS It wasn't me who started talking about politics? Whaddya expect ya start talking about politics? Of course it's gonna end up a pier six brawl. It wasn't even me who started on about the moon. The way I look at it I am a total innocent and pure as the driven snow.

Seriously though, I know I can be obnoxious on very rare occasions, like every twenty minutes. I apologize.

Absolutely no hard feelings from me and i accept your apology Melvin of the Apes [pronounced Ah Poo]. I also accept that you can be obnoxious, every 20 minutes is a bit of a stretch tho' but i'll let that slip by for the sake of ...... Hell no i won't! You're totally obnoxious, but often very funny too. The problem is really how such 'joking' is interpreted by others here too, like i said it's not easy to add the right tone in the written word.

Anyone who wants to bat on can do so over in Noeman. The perfect thread for it already exists so post something in there if you want guys:
