Great! A chance to translate. I love a challenge.

    Question.
    How come i think this:

"Cor M8 your like a joe blake slippery as usual or ya been under the weather and 110 in the water bag. Here it's like cold enough to freeze the billiard balls, and maybe time to hit the black strip and play the Didgeridoo up north me thinks"

    means this:

"Pffft my friend, you are like a snake, slipping around the subject as usual, or you're deluded. Here it's so cold as to freeze one's testicles, and maybe it's time to drive up north and join the fun there"

    Explanation:
'Cor' is a contraction of 'Cor blimey', cockney minced phrasing of 'God blind me' used when seeing something you shouldn't or didn't want to see. 'Cor' used alone followed by a somewhat derisory remark is actually moving well away from the meaning of the original full phrase to pre-indicate that derision, that's when it's used in a drawn-out breathy falling terminal way in actual speech. It's likely the way intended here because of the 'Joe Blake' reference. A shorter broken [co-r] exclamatory delivery with a slight rising terming would indicate [mock]surprise and may be followed by a genuine or facetious expression of disbelief e.g. 'Cor!? I dunno, I've never heard of that before'. That use would also fit perhaps, but impossible to be sure either way from only the written word.

'M8' is self-explanatory m + eight [ate] = mate. In Oz vernacular 'Mate' can be used in both a friendly or aggressive way. Probably it's neutral in the above.

'Joe Blake' is simply rhyming slang for 'snake'.

'Under the weather' can have two meanings in OZ, either being sick or a more polite description of one being under the influence of alcohol [saying 'he's a bit under the weather' instead of 'he's a bit p*ssed']. Either or both could fit in the delusional inference. I'm pretty sure it was originally an old British nautical expression used when a sick sailor was confined below decks thus keeping him out of the elements.

'110 in the water bag' means the temperature of the water in a canvas water bag is 110F [~43C]. Unless static and windless with a relative humidity of 100%, the temperature of the water is always lower than the ambient temp due to evaporative cooling, so '110 in the bag' would indicate that the day was very hot and therefore even more unpleasant than usual for an unwell or drunk person who may become delusional and ramble on [gone troppo maybe].

'Cold enough to freeze the billiard balls' indicates extreme cold. I would think the freeze point for both plastic and ivory [try finding those these days] billiard balls would be far below 0C. A similar but more well-known vulgar expression is 'cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey'.

'Hit the black strip' means 'get on the road' of course as a reference to the colour of asphalt or bitumen.

'Play the Didgeridoo' has got me a bit confused, but i guess because they're hard but fun to play that's what it means literally but never heard that one before although it was the Northern Australian Aborigines who invented the didgeridoo i think. Maybe it's a local expression in southern WA meaning 'to shoot through up north', but who knows really? They're a different race with their own language those Sand Gropers.

OK, critique time Iggy. How'd i do on the 'transliteralation'?

Ummm? Sherm is stuck in a boot-loop and making consecutive posts. Maybe better to strip him for parts than bother trying to loading a cure firmware? Yep, can't cure him. No original firmware available, he's never had an upgrade. Maybe we could cross-flash Asian fw ..... New username: Slurmman!!:

Geeezzz! I'm gonna hate having to clean this thread, maybe we need an [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] thread in here too ......
