His Honour thinks your case sucks.
So sue me ya bum. Your attorneys are probably pansies too. Q: How do you get a lawyer out of a tree? A: Cut the rope.

--- That's not exactly the way the joke goes. I'd tell you how it goes except then I'll probably have your Australasian Ministry of Truth and
Thought Control Police on my case.

Tell 'em that one, you'll be representing yourself real quick.

Please stop calling me Foo. I'm not calling you Kiltdead anymore am i? [probably not any less either]. You may call me Mr Martin or Sir [don't

spell it cur like the cops around here].

--- OK, Don Martin. Not a bad choice actually for your imaginary alter ego. I liked - like - him. Hey, look what I found!

--- [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

---I'll look at it anon, or maybe later.

As for those sons o' Bitches [that's their Mother, always use a capitol 'B' out of respect] at garmin ['g' is intentional], they probably only

said that to you because with mule-like stubbornness you refused to load the 2016.10 gmap folder to your PC and their 'taylored/pre-assembled'

smaller versions of US were all still too big to fit on your 276c [same as used by Chris C in 1492]. Why don't you hook up that thang 'n' see

    what MapUpdater offers you pardner?

--- That's where I started in the first place, you down under boob. I was griping about it on the other GPS forum where I was annoying people
before I came hither. They, however, unlike yourself, Boss Martin, offered no solution to my dilemma.

This is a nuvi with LM for US & CA, as you can see instead of the entire US/CA area I can choose to load several 'taylored' US [lower 48] images

to it [all of which will be too big for your datacard], OR, importantly, load the data to my Win 8.1 PC which will place a gmap folder in C:

\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps [same path is used for your Win 7 jobbie]. From there, i can use MapInstall to load only a tiny bit of map data ranging

from a single tile upwards and so can you i reckon if you'd only take your stubborn yankee head outta ya ass [god that must be painful!].

    Observe:
So it's worth a try, see if MapUpdater will still offer you the legit update for 2016.10. Maybe some poor terminally frustrated support droid

blew a circuit before he could strip your 276c of it's LM rights ... you'll never know unless you try .....

--- Hoo hah? The whole Garmin map set *never* fit on my 276. That certainly didn't start with the 2016. The 2016 is exactly the same as the 2015, and Garmin's shyster lawyers are full of beans. I have to use their proprietary ripoff memory chip thingies, and I have the maximum sized 512mb in there now. But I will try it again later just in case it works now by some strange miracle.

--- Tell your hobbit friend that I do indeed know where I live, providing my GPS is working, because I have my place of abode marked on it.

See Maggy, Melvin isn't lost, he was only stuck trying to understand the first line of my last post .... you need to give him time, Maggy, give him time. Here, go read 1958 while you wait for me to tear that crap he wrote apart:

What, pray tell, are you two hobbits going on about now? This is the first line of your last post. What's to understand?

"His Honour thinks your case sucks."

I'm going to lug my GPS in again later. Like I said, I haven't done this much work in years.

Who drew these up? They were great. That was when Mad was great They were takeoffs on the ads on the back pages of contemporary comic books. Too bad you can't read the print here, but I remember them, like, "Hey, kids! Get your own gattling gun and surprise your friends when you cut a bloody swath through them!" "Compressed air torpedo - WOW!" "Crossbow - WOW!" Ha ha!

MAD Magazine no. 21, front cover

"His Honour thinks your case sucks."
That's only the first sentence. The first line is: "His Honour thinks your case sucks. So sue me ya bum. Your attorneys are probably pansies too. Q: How do you get a lawyer out of a tree? A: Cut the rope. ..."
And you answered that with this "--- That's not exactly the way the joke goes. I'd tell you how it goes except then I'll probably have your Australasian Ministry of Truth and
Thought Control Police on my case."

What's not to understand with that joke? Maybe i should have asked 'How do you get a Political Scientist out of a tree' to make it more relevant for you?

I'm going to lug my GPS in again later. Like I said, I haven't done this much work in years.
Try what i said with MapInstall, i was serious. Maybe they haven't killed off your LM subscription, only told you that they can't supply an [already compiled] image small enough to fit on the 276c's datacard. So try to make one yourself with MapInstall if you can download the LM gmap folder to your PC using MapUpdater. Follow the pretty pictures in Post #260, you might just fluke it like you did flashing the map with the bat file.

Nah, i haven't got anything better. Dunno who did those either. If you look at the pdf of the front cover of #21 from 1955 in my rar file you'll see that it can't be made more readable by increasing the magnification. My recollection is that the fine print wasn't readable in the mags either and that was maybe intentional [while yam lookin' read 'POOPEYE', wot a crack up!].

"What's not to understand with that joke?"

Oh fer petes sake! It is so hard to explain things to hobbits. I was trying to tell u that that is not the way the original (and real) joke goes. But I better drop the subject anyway, because as I said, I don't want your Australian Penal Colony PC Police on my case too.

"Those 3 likes were from me dipstick. I'll give you another one if you learn total subservience [never gonna happen is it?]."

No it isn't. Just like in real life servile behavior is not in my repertoir, and I bet it's not in yours either, so the answer is no. And bless you my son for your kindness, and you ain't catching me saying "thank you" around this dump! I figure that as soon as my fame catches on around here the Likes will be flooding in. All I need is about 8,000 of them.

"Nah, i haven't got anything better. Dunno who did those either. OK, I'll read that one. I basically only remember the title from way back, but reading it will probably refresh my memory. Sweatpea was a long tall drink of water, wasn't she ?

But it was readable in its original form. Was that in the pre-magazine Mad comic book? But you have those high quality reproductions of teh comic books? By the way, where did you steal them? I even remember some of it, as above. It was a takeoff on these, and you can read the print in the original here:

My guess is it was Bill Chicken Fat Elder who did it - and trying to hunt up a better copy just now I found out that he too went to the same high school I did: "Elder attended New York's High School of Music and Art together with future Mad artists Harvey Kurtzman, John Severin, Al Jaffee and Al Feldstein", so put that in your pipe and smoke it. Forget about you going to school with Joe Blow or whatever his name is. I went to the same school as Chicken Fat and Harvey Kurtzman. That alone should be worth about 6,000 Like points. Gimme them!

Oh the GPS, maybe later, though I'm sure I'm in for nothing but frustration and disappointment and more bitter tears.

I thought had saved a couple of years worth of Mads when I downloaded your file, but it turns out I only have two, Mad #1 and #2, so I googled up Poopeye, and look what comes with it, a readable (though not so easily) Johnson Smith parody!

C'mon, make with the original (and real) joke then already! With your clumsy ways it'll land on your foot if you drop the subject. I've had a word with the AU Penal mob and they say they'll get your erectile dysfunction kit onto the next plane, sorry for the delay [but you should be used to it]. Oops! Sorry, realised i contacted the Penile Society by mistake. The kit's already been sent. Oh well, i'm sure you can make use of it.

Anything less than your non-servile answer would have disappointed. I'm pleased you haven't yet caught on to the fact that we have Rep points as well as Likes. 'Like Lust' and 'Reputation Envy' is endemic in this dump ... Hey! it is so not a dump. Not up at my lofty level anyway. Sure it needs a little tidy-up down there in the newby basement ... here, have another chicken bone.

Sweatpea? SWEATPEA??!! Y'all mean Sweetpea i guess. And really mean Olive Oyl 'cos Sweetpea is the baby. Olive sure yam a long steak of pelican poop tho'.

But it was readable in its original form. Was that in the pre-magazine Mad comic book?
Maybe my eyes were going bad even back then, or it could have been the fact i was too young to read at the time. No, sorry it was still a comic book at #21, i meant 'mags' in a generic sense but it did go to a magazine later in the same year i think.

But you have those high quality reproductions of teh comic books? By the way, where did you steal them?
Torrent. Back in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] remember? It was only about 50 years before you managed to get the flash to work ......

I even remember some of it, as above. It was a takeoff on these, and you can read the print in the original here:
    .......
Than... Oops! I mean, that's damned decent of you old chap. The live crocodile was a take-off of the live chameleon, i remember that too now. Wouldn't the prevention of cruelty mob get up in the stirrups bigtime over sending lizards thru the mail these days? "Direct from the animal farm. Allow 15 to 20 days delivery time" ....WOW indeed. "Pinclasp and cord for wearing live chameleon on your lapel 15". That'd get 'em going too.

It was Billy Thorpe, Joe Blow is that other bloke. Can't, my pipe if full of unsmokable socks. NO MORE POINTS FOR YOU! Remember the Soup Nazi? One of the truly funny Seinfeld episodes. Grudgingly have to admit to being mildly impressed that you went to the same highschool as those blokes. But, there's a pearl: 'New York's High School of Music and Art'. Wadidchado there? Sweep the floors? Betcha did an Arts course at Uni later! That's way worse than Political Science, not just a veggie course. It's quite sub-vegetable, like lucerne, or oat bran. Of course, Billy Thorpe was in the SAME YEAR as me, and i taught him to ROLLER SKATE. Still trumps everything you've ever done anyway.

Oh the GPS, maybe later, though I'm sure I'm in for nothing but frustration and disappointment and more bitter tears.
If you wanna get outta that garbage-ridden basement you gotta try harder. Build a ladder from bones 'n' stuff. And stop crying you big sook! Here's a gnawed buffalo wing. Still got a bit of sinew and skin on it. Catch ....

    Got that gmap installed yet?
