"Jeez Kilroy, you move about as fast as a glacier bla bla bla"

I'll try it today, OK? And you're right, my computer and my GPS are worth about $2.50 apiece. I guess I gotta buy new ones one of these years. After I finish suing you I should have plenty of spare cash. Hey, you two mugs are bosses here, right? You'd probably rather fire me but the union ain't gonna like that - I once - true story - actually ran on the Silly Party ticket for union president on on my old job in NYC and came in second, but I think I actually won - everybody I asked said they voted for me - but the crooked gangsters who ran the phony union counted the votes themselves with no witnesses so I think that might have had something to do with me coming in a distant second - but what I wuz gonna ask is if youse mugs could change my sign on name here from DU to Kilroy, if it ain't too much trouble that is, see (I purposely exaggerate my NY accent to annoy the tourists, just like u mugs do with your silly "mate-talk", which u probably never use when the tourists ain't around).

Note to self: How does that guy know so much about computers? Maybe he read a book or something. I didn't know they got books in Australia. Who knows, anything's possible. They might have imported one. He's probably faking it anyway, like everyone else, trying to get me to mess up my 12 year old GPS and six year old computer. That's pretty young in GPS and computer years ain't it?

OK, I'll probably try it today...something about changing the labels on some files, I think it was...

"Clearly you're immune to irony, sarcasm and facetiousness ..."

Yeah, I guess. I'll address all your other queries after I get through inanely changing labels on root files and checking out the bat drive, etc etc...but once I had a computer whose screen busted up into a field of static every now and then, like dis here one is startin' ta do now, and den I changed duh hard drive (which toined out to be surprisingly easy, even for me) and aftuh dat it didn't do dat no more.

    Oh, a wise guy, ey?

I like dis one. 1930's girls were so cute.

Phew! And ppl think i'm a bit of a nutter ..... Listen you whackjob, it's was the freakin' Silly Party fercrissake! Why would you expect an unrigged election, didn't the name give something away to you?

I'm getting a bit tired of cleaning up after you kids. Fixing your video links for instance. Trying to sort which part of your reply is my quote and which is your response as well. 'Listening' to you trying to exaggerate a NY accent in writing [wot a Crock o' ! Surely it's IMPOSSIBLE to exaggerate and you'd annoy the tourists easily with your un-exaggerated NY vowel-mangling verbal gymnastics which you try to 'sanitize' by elevating to 'accent' status]. Wot else now ... oh... well at least try to poo and wee in the same corner from now on so i know where to look to clean up OK? AND GET A HAIRCUT!! No, wait, that's not it ..... oh yeah, flash that bloody map now and get it over and done with before your freakin' HDD craps itself.

Girls from any era are cute in some way. Keep in mind that all those pretty young things are probably dead now or shriveled up wrecks seeing out their last miserable days sitting on commode chairs in some urine-soaked cockroach-ridden aged care facility, forgotten by their families, their few lucid moments tortured by how good life used to be before the sedation medication kicks in again taking them back to sweet black oblivion ..... hang on, that's not them THAT'S ME! [Nurse! Nurse! I gotta go to the toilet QUICK!!!! .... Aw, never mind].

Please, stop interrupting me with your silly Aussie cannibal blubbering. I'm trying to concentrate on updating my GPS model 276C, tho I don't see how changing the names on files in the x86 bin are going to put them in the root bin. But I'm going to concentrate my giant brain on those crazy directions now, so please don't interrupt me for a while.

Furthermore, if I ran on the Reform Party ticket to get rid of the crooked corrupt fat slob you-know-who and the Teamsters as opposed to the Silly Party I would probably be pushing up daisies with Jimmy Hoffa now. My clever plan was to seize power under the guise of a harmless maniac and then grab them and line them up against the wall.

And you're completely wrong about the girls of the 30's. They weren't festooned with tattoos and body rings, and they weren't pretending they were men and making out with each other, and they are just as cute now as they ever were, wherever they may be, so Gods bless them.

Thanks for fixing up my 3 Stooge links. I kinda thought you might make yourself useful if I kept you around.

Wazzamattuh, my Noo Yawk accent annoyin' you? How do you think us normal people feel about you mugs "matin'" it up? It's like American Indians chiefing it up for the tourists.

OK, Foo, you win. I give up. I couldn't figure this out:

Note I said: "Ensure you have WebUpdater installed in the Garmin root folder on your PC's C drive, i.e. C:\Garmin\WebUpdater\WebUpdater.exe [only in that exact location or this won't work]". You've got C:\Program Files (x86)\Garmin\WebUpdater\WebUpdater.exe it would seem. Maybe that's the default install location so you can do one of 2 things, move WU to a Garmin folder in the root of C drive ['root' folder means it's directly placed in there [C:\Garmin\WebUpdater\WebUpdater.exe as i've said]. You've got Garmin folder inside another folder in the root of C drive [Program Files (x86)]. The other thing you can do, maybe easier for you, is just don't muck around with moving WU exe but instead change the bat file to read this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Garmin\WebUpdater\WebUpdater.exe /upload_file rgn=10 path=C:\test\gmapsupp.img -autorun usb /i" [copy inside the quotes and paste it over the original text] so that it complies with your present placement of WU exe. To do that, first change the .bat extension to .txt, open with NotePad, make the change and save it. Finally change .txt back to .bat [read below further].

...so I made a brand new folder in my root of C and called it Garmin and copied the Web Updater in to it from x86. And then I hit a brick wall with step #2:

"Extract the test.rar to root of your C drive [only there]."

I don't know where to find no test.rar. You do, but I don't, and I tried extracting stuff from WU with 7-Zip and I tried searching for it, but no luck. So I give up. You win.

Librivox is great. Here are 143 (!) episodes of the Jack Benny radio show. That should keep you busy for a while so you stop picking on me - and let me know when you're coming here so I can buy you the 90 thousand beers I owe you - and next time vote for the Silly Party!

OK, I'm back at it. Now I put the test.rar in my new Garmin folder alongside WebUpdater in the C root.
Now let's see, where was I? What comes next? I like that Genius part. You weren't being sarcastic were you?

Ensure you have WebUpdater installed in the Garmin root folder on your PC's C drive, i.e. C:\Garmin\WebUpdater\WebUpdater.exe [only in that exact

location or this won't work]. If not, install it now: WebUpdater (Windows XP SP3 and newer) software version 2.5.6.
Extract the test.rar to root of your C drive [only there].
Open test folder to find 'gmapsupp.img' and 'Install_gmapsupp.bat' files and leave visible.
Connect your unit [with the 512MB DataCard inserted] to your PC.
When you hear the Windows device connection tone, double-click 'Install_gmapsupp.bat' to start the flash.
Go for a walk or file your toenails for about half and hour.
When the flash finishes you should have the new 2016.10 map in your unit.

Well, that success rate didn't last long, only until the next step. I can't open "test folder", assuming test folder is test.rar. 7-Zip won't open it. In fact when I click on it a window flashes instantaneously on the screen and then vanishes. What does that mean? The adjacent Web Updater does connect to my 276. You should have a tech support number I can call (preferably toll free).
