Ok, that message means the device exited preboot before the flash was initialized. Once the flash starts the device will hold preboot and you must be very fast to start the flash by hitting 'OK' button on Updater's GUI immediately the device details appear in the window next to 'USB Device'. Follow this:

    • Because you'll need to plug the USB cable into the nuvi with it fully OFF (not in standby) you may have to hold the power button down for up to 30 seconds to force it off if necessary.
    • Load the cure firmware to Updater.exe before connecting the nuvi.
    • Have your mouse cursor positioned over the GUI's 'OK' button.
    • Plug the USB cable into a rear port of PC (NO hub) and then firmly hold the top LH corner of the screen before you plug the usb cable into it.
    • Plug the miniUSB into the socket of the nuvi which will power it on.
    • Instantly the device shows in Updater hit 'OK' or press the enter key of your keyboard.
    • Keep firm steady pressure on the screen until the flash finishes or at least until 'Software loading' appears on the screen.

You're lucky because that message ("No updates are available for your product") means you were trying to flash a wrong firmware.

Hmm. I have to first apologize because I've been at this for quite some time and I'm leaving for my vacation early next week and would like to get this sorted out - I just need some extra help, if possible :\
I'll try to quickly go through my situation.

I have a Nuvi 1390T that's stuck on the logo screen
Using file nuvi13xxand14xxseries_GCDFile__630.gcd with GarminCure3 but have the previous versions also downloaded

I've been all over the web and found this forum (thankfully) and have been going through all your steps and resources (currently have 20 tabs open from all the places I've been lol)

I'm at the part were I hold down on the top left corner in updater with my CURE rgn file (quick tip, if you're savvy enough you can associate *.rgn files to updater.exe to be able to open them with a double-click - didn't see that mentioned here anywhere).

Okay, so I'm holding down and doing the stuff and my device briefly shows up in the USB Port field but when I click on "OK" as instructed, this is what I get:

    Updater Error

I've also tried with nuvi13xxand14xxseries_GCDFile__580.gcd thinking it might not work best with the most recent, but still the same thing happens.
Not sure what to do since I'm doing everything as instructed, help?

Ahhhh, phewf! Figured it out, but I won't delete my original post in the event someone else runs into that same error.

All I did was continued to click "OK", close the error, "OK", close the error and then the update process was eventually triggered.
This had to be done continuously for both the "cure" and "original" steps and now my device is updating properly through Garmin Express and is no longer bricked

Thanks a million! I can't tell you how happy and satisfied I feel right now with getting this fixed.
It's actually my brothers device and he's definitely not going to be able to appreciate the hardships I've had to endure to get this thing moving again lol

(It's ALWAYS my luck though...struggle struggle struggle, then the minute I ask for help, everything just flows together lol)

Deleting files should not result in a bootloop. Did you do anything else? Usually a bootloop is caused by the device trying to load a faulty file unsuccessfully. Because the device is powering off and on in an endless cycle it's harder to gain preboot and initiate a flash. Try this method:
    • Force device fully OFF by holding down the power button for an extended period, usually 10 - 30 seconds is required. Release button and don't press it again.
    • Load cure firmware to Updater.exe (try quickcure3 first, it usually works)
    • Leave Updater's GUI visible on your desktop, select 'USB Device' radio button
    • Connect a suitable USB cable directly to a REAR USB2 port of PC without a hub, don't use a front port or USB3 port
    • While watching the window next to USB Device, hold the nuvi screen's upper LH corner firmly with your left thumb and plug the cable into nuvi's USB socket which will power it on
    • IMMEDIATELY you see the device details appear in the window on Updater's GUI click 'OK' or just hit the enter key on your PC KB
    • Keep firm steady pressure on the screen until the flash finishes or at least until 'Loader' or 'Software Loading' appears on device screen
    • If successful the device will stick on the logo splash screen and you'll have Mass Storage Mode available

If you miss the very short opportunity time to initiate the flash, start again from the top with device off again. Once the flash is started the device won't drop preboot mode.
