@nenadbrkic
Do you mean to un-brick a device that way by loading cure firmware? Probably no because usually a bricked device isn't far enough into the boot sequence to look at the card content. You can see in a healthy device that 'Loading maps' appears on the screen before the flash is initiated. Most bricked devices stall or bootloop before that.
Edit: Although on reading your post again I wonder are you referring to executing .txt commands using a modified Boot.bin as an RGN to flash via Updater.exe in preboot? I've not tried that to flash cure firmwares as BIN files but maybe it'd work. See here, Post #33: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]. Seems little point however because if you can attain preboot you can flash directly.

Hi Butters,
For some reason, I can't see my previous post and your response anymore at the end of this thread. Anyway, I removed the gupdate.gcd file from .system folder, and it seems helped a bit. I am about to boot the device on its own without connecting to PC or wall charger. After rebooting the device, it got through licresing, cannot unlock maps, and the updates (showing software version 8.5 and have additional updates requiring restart. After I click yes, it reboot and get into that installing update files screen with a longer green status bar than before. But it stuck there not changing. I kept it plugged to wall charger overnight and when I woke up, the update screen is gone. The device shows Bluetook connection, disabled demo mode, corrupt map screens before get to normal where to/view map screen. I checked the About info, and it's still software version 8.50. What do you suggest the next step to try? Should I try the reload the software with Garmin Express? Or should I proceed to format the internal memory?
Thanks and Best Regards,
James

Sorry, my mistake. Because your device isn't really 'bricked' a mod moved the posts to a discussion thread [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]. I forgot to advise you of that. Just follow my Post #6 of the new thread and remove contents of RemoteSW folder, you may not have to re-format if that works. Reply over there as necessary rather than here.

Knowing the immediate history is helpful but not essential. Bootlooping devices are always harder to catch in preboot because there is only a brief period when it's able to be seen in Updater.exe before it drops the connection and starts again. I recovered a bootlooping nuvi 2797 which is the same hardware as your dezl 760 and it was a pain to flash but persistence paid off. Unless your device has physical damage to it's internal flash it can be recovered. Check it's battery has reasonable charge first and then try this procedure:
- Ensure the device is fully OFF. You may have to hold down the power key for 10 to 30 seconds until it turns off.
- Plug a suitable USB cable directly into a USB2 port of your laptop (Not a USB3 port and don't use a hub). If you can find a desktop PC to use, that's better still but make sure to use a REAR USB2 port only.
- Load the Cure firmware to Updater.exe and select the radio button next to "USB Device". Leave the GUI visible on your computer with your mouse cursor positioned over "OK" button.
- Hold the upper LH corner of the dezl's screen (use your left thumb is best) and while watching the window next to 'USB Device" quickly plug the microUSB end into the dezl.
- IMMEDIATELY you see the device details appear in the window either click "OK" on Updater's GUI or just hit your computer's Enter key.
- Keep firmly holding the screen until 'Loader' or 'Software Loading' appears on it at least, if unsure hold until the flash is reported as successful.
- If you miss it start again ensuring the device is fully OFF firstly.
I've had bootlooping devices which could only have a flash started by hitting the Enter key with my right elbow because the opportunity time to initiate Updater was so brief. It seems to vary, sometimes it's much more leisurely.

Here are the Text files from my nuvi 2797 which are compatible with your dezl 760:
I'm unsure if you mean you need the Serbian voice file also, just in case here it is:
You'll also likely need a basemap (if it's missing GarminExpress won't supply it): [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
If you need other files post again requesting what you're missing.

Hi everybody,
really thanks for this tutorial. It helped me restoring my ETREX10 after it went in system missing error caused by an update via webupdater.
I just want to make other Etrex 10 users know that for me the devide had to be in forced mass storage mode (not pre-boot).
How to? Move the joystick up and keep it up while connecting the usb cable to your PC, as soon as you ear the sound of attached device on windows be quick and let the updater start.
