Thanks for the nice words guys. The "top" dashboard could be adapted to a 480x272 screen just like any other one, but it would involve a bit of work to scale everything. I gave some pointers on how to adapt them in the article. It's basically the same as the 7-field dashboard but with an opaque background and the y coordinates changed to move it to the top.
I have not offered it for download because I thought it was a little too weird for most people. One thing that might confuse them is that it covers up the button to select it in the setting menu when you use portrait mode (or was it landscape, can't remember) and you have to rotate the screen to choose another one, haha. And of course it hides any guidance that appears at the top if your are navigating.
Visiting a friend in Greece at the moment and have been using the StreetPilot app as a pedestrian on my iPhone. It does what I need, but it's a bit of a mess with a confusing bunch of screens, some of which don't update as you move. But it doesn't require cellular data to work. There you go - let's see how far OT we can take this thread now, LOL.
