'Sup 'dawg? You're in the right place mate. Look at Post 1. the 3790 patch is under 'Tools' on RGN_Tool. There is a more detailed tut by turboccc in Post #77. Of course if you do want to convert to 34xx you should look back in the 37xx>34xx thread. But if you want to stay as 37 here is the right thread. I'm not able to say if you look dumb, but you don't sound it so far ...... Ask any dumb questions you want, we specialize in dumb answers.

    Hi,
I own nuvi 3750 Indonesian version. I've tried several times to connect with updater.exe from Garmin, but always appear error msg.
The device are connected as you can see in Win Explorer, but couldnt connect with updater.exe only.
It works fine with webupdater and i just update the FW through Webupdater.
Is there any ways to flash the unit other than updater.exe?
Thanks[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

For updater.exe you must first install garmin usb drivers:

    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
and then add nuvi in pre boot, only then updater will see your device.

    p.s.

Loly, thanks for your quick response.
I've installed USB driver, then reinstall again with the link above.
Also reinstall updater from the link above.
However, still the same problem that updater didnt recognize Garmin Unit on USB.
Anyone has the same problem with me?
Could you share how to solve this?
    Thanks

    @akangyud
Nuvi cannot be in pre-boot mode and visible in Win Explorer at the same time. It's one or the other, so if it shows as a removable device as in your pic, it's not in pre-boot and cannot enter it. Read the link provided by lolypop000 again, but in 37x0 US/EU the best way is to have the USB lead connected to PC first then plug microUSB into unit and hold on 'G' in Garmin immediately it appears. Also have updater.exe open on your desktop with the *.rgn file already loaded and ready to flash, with 'USB Device' selected. When your device details appear in the USB window you don't have long to start flashing.

Important Note: Be aware that your ID unit has a different HWID to US/EU units which all have 1101. The patching tool and HWID/Software over-rides built into RGN-Tool should not be used or you may brick your unit.

Your nuvi don't go in removable device if you add finger in uper left corner of screen or if you press screen over letter G.

Disconnect nuvi from Pc and turn your nuvi off
Open updater.exe window and add dot beside USB
Connect nuvi to pc and when you see garmin logo quick hold uper left corner of screen and you will see writen on your nuvi " loader " and in upater you will see your nuvi.
You still hold nuvi screen and press OK in updater and flash begin.

Which to me indicates that the unit is in standby, and not fully off. Hold the power button down until the screen prompt appears 'Turn off the device' then select 'Off' and try again to access pre-boot as Loly suggests.

You have Voice Command in Tools menu but it won't work on your 3750 because there is no microphone installed. If you want to see how to add one, look at turboccc's [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. You should have now also enabled 3D buildings and terrain and that will be reflected in your GarminDevice.xml, but doesn't show in menu. You'll have to add the GMAP3D.IMG [3D buildings map] and gmapdem.img [3D terrain map] specific for your detail map to see those features on screen.
