No, your 265W won't. NTU is for 2xxx & 3xxx originally and recently 1xxx with fw update. You should use the 'normal' (non-unicode) CNNT EU or you'll have problems.
EDIT: Also 30/40/50 & 42/52 and probably 140/150T can use NTU as well.

NTU compatibility is a bit tricky, because City Navigator NTU is NT(Unicode) and so is impossible to know which device is compatible with NTU from CNEU Garmin site: all recent devices are NT compatible and are listed, some get NT others get NTU version
I check that PanAfrica map page because it exists only in NTU version.

TOPO Suomi Pro v2 for example is compatible with Edge 800 and it's not NT maps . Garmin legacy OF/Non-NT is used by TOPO Suomi Pro v2. So it should be compatible with old devices too. Many Topo maps are Non-NT and provide just searchable POIs.
IMHO should download if it's possible original locked files and unlock by your own with proper tools.
Remember if you install an .IMG made with Gmaptool in Mapsource you 'd loose search functionality on pc and in map sent to gps.
Gmaptool MS versions are quite like Demo maps. Better to use Basecamp now and send .IMGs with mapinstall.

How can I detect differences between searchable POIs or none searchable POIs?
