Changing 'default' map possible?

Hi,

I recently moved to North America and have a Garmin Nuvi 785 European model and was wondering if there is a way to change the unit into a North American unit?

I would like to have NA set as the primary map and have any supplemental maps on the SD card for where I travel. Right now I have to change out the NA map SD card for current map I am using and I would just like to use the unit without a SD card in NA.

Thank you for help (if possible).

To add - I did try copy files from a US unit to mine, but that did not seem to work.
