56 Mb used space on one disk plus 1.8 Gb free space on same disk give 2.3 GB free space on SD card what is lies in store?
You have the absolutely different physical memory storage in you device - one is build-in memory of device (1.9 Gb) and another is SD card (8Gb according your picture). On the whole you may write 9.9 GB of information. And talking about this the simplest calculation on two page is worth for you?
i have 421s ,what is the size of sd on it?
GPSMAP 421s? Chartplotter/sounder....Quote:

Bye,bye
How fast speed SD card should be used in GPS please? Class 4 is ok? Thanks!
Faster is better! Class 4 is ok but if you want your maps to actualize faster class 10 is better!Quote:

Ummm, actually i think the speed (class) only refers to write speeds. As the device does not normally write info to the card, in a Garmin unit the speed is irrelevant as the read speed is the same in sdhc cards.
It makes sense, thank you for correcting me!Quote:

It's now 3 months since that exchange between Giomen and me, and in spite of him not bothering to continue to stir me up, i have finally worked up the goanies to format my 64GB microsd in FAT32. Loaded about 7GB of maps onto it and it runs fine in my 1300. So what really is the card limitation size in garmin devices?Quote:
