Guys, I'm a bit stuck with the JCV file for my Zumo 590LM.
Downloaded the latest map with JCV file.
Installed the map with BaseCamp, all good.
I did copy the JCV file (split screen first than full screen, one at a time) in:
.System/JCV folder
than
SD/Garmin/JCV folder (created by me)
than
SD/JCV folder (created by me)
than
SD/Map/JCV folder (created by me)
No luck with any of them, by simulating a route where Junction View is know
I have lane assist, though.
Any help?

As described here you must check garmindevice.xml for right type of JCV for your device. I have the suspicion what split screen and full screen is not for Zumo 590!

Hello I have a small question. Is .jcv file actually needed? Or can I delete it and my gps will work normally?
Or rather I want to upgrade an old nuvi unit and after intalling a new map file i don't have enough space left for .jcv file. I've already deleted unneeded voice files etc...
Can I delete .g2s file or are those needed?

Yes it'll still work without them even if your nuvi is usually supplied with VCJ and G2S files however obviously with decreased functionality. See initial post for what they do.
It's worth pointing out that most ancillary files (other than some outliers like, for example, ASR SRD language files which must be onboard) will also work if placed in a Garmin folder on a media card, e.g. "sd:/Garmin/JCV/******.jcv" or "sd:/Garmin/POI/******.gpi" and so on.
