    Default Alpha 100 compass calibration problem

    Hi!

    I need help for one problem, please.

    I bought Alpha 100 with smashed display several weeks ago. After I replace display, I discover new problem: I can't calibrate compass. The first and second steps are OK, but the third fail every time.

    I don't know what is problem (softwer or hardware).

    Software inside is original 7.80 without any modification, but I do not know device history.

    Do you have some sugestion, how to check what is problem (hardware or software) for begining?

    <SoftwareVersion>Software Version 7.80</SoftwareVersion>

    <Description>Alpha 100 EMEA/APAC</Description>

    <PCB>Alpha X V3 </PCB>

    </Model>

    Than you, but this is not answer for my problem.

    I know how to calibrate compass, but I can't calibrate compass. I do successful the first and the second steps, but when I try to do the third compass calibration step every time I get message "Calibration failed".

    I do not know what is problem, software or hardware.

    If your device was purchased on ebay, you have most likely taken a defective device, devices that are covered by the warranty because they are defective and are re-sold by resellers. I think it's a hardware problem, I have two of the same.

    @miroslavbl,

    That is the problem when you buy broken items you never know what you are getting.
    It had a broken screen so that should of told you something.
    There is a good chance the mother board has some broken circuits on it.
    I think you need to replace mother board if you can still get it.
