I reformatted the SD card with the SD Formatter and did like you said but it still did not work. By the way, I am using the same SD card that came with the device, 8gb.

Then i assume that the card has worked without problem previously with the device. Let's test it anyway, seeing you have V4.00 fw loaded try to update to original (unpatched) V4.10 using the card. To do that, clean the card and create a Garmin folder in the root. In the folder place V4.10 GCD named only as gupdate.gcd. Turn device off, insert card and power on. It should read the Garmin folder and update to V4.10. Before you do that, check in device's .System folder for an existing file named gupdate.gcd and remove it if present or it may flash back to V4.00 later.
If you need it V4.10 is available from Perry site:
Rename DriveAssist51_410.gcd to gupdate.gcd.Code:http://gawisp.com/perry/drive/DriveAssist51_410.gcd
I tried it but it still booted normally. It even asked me to format the memory card after booting. I did that, renamed the DCIM folder to "Garmin", deleted the subfolders and placed gupdate.gcd in it and restarted, but still did not work.

I think you need to get another card. Where did the DCIM folder come from? Have you been using this microSD in another device, like a camera or iPhone or Android phone?
The DCIM folder was created by the device for storing video files recorded by the dashcam. Like you said, I need to get another card. I will get back to you as soon as I try two or more other cards. Thanks a lot brother, I really appreciate your support and assistance.

Hi there Butters, I hate to say this but there's nothing like the truth. All along, the reason I didn't get it right was as a result of my ignorance of the fact that there are two slots for the SD card- One for the camera and one for the actual SD card for maps... I kept on using the one for the map! Sorry if I wasted your time on this and thank you for your patience, support, assistance and understanding. I used the card that came with the device and right away got it to flash. It flashed the 4.40! Once again, thank you.

Sorry, never mind. I've found them already. Thanks anyway.Quote:
