    The Universal patcher is based on the sources of my JNX Patcher, which currently doesn't support Fenix 5X.
    When I buy a Fenix 5X I'll hopefully be able to add its support to the JNX patcher, and then I''ll send the code to big-bang.

    I think you are right

    Alright people,
    I need my own copy of Fenix 5X to continue the research, but it's too expensive for me.
    If you think the JNX patcher should support Fenix 5X (and this support can lately be added to the Universal patcher too), you can send me some money [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    You should firstly check the latest FW_List available in the initial post. It shows nuvi 57/58 to have "MSV:Weak & GVS:Yes" so you'll need to patch with an RGN file in preboot. Some of those devices are difficult to get into preboot however.

    Extract the RAR file first of course and use the EXE file. Also as I've said you must use a patched RGN (not a GCD file). Read the initial post thoroughly.

    I have everything ready and one problem, navigation don't want to pre-boot.
    I am doing everything as described and this is not the first time to patch firmware, I'm holding finger in upper left corner and but no success.
    Is it possible something to block pre-boot mode?

    @atomantmk
    Which device? Some enter preboot differently and some very recent devices are hard to place and hold in preboot, if device doesn't go to a white calibration screen after some seconds it was not in preboot at all. Try by having the firmware loaded in Updater.exe with GUI visible on desktop then hold the screen and power on by connecting to PC. Press OK button on GUI or keyboard Enter key immediately the device details appear in Updater window. Again, if no details appear it's not in preboot.
